Another week means new music from Germany’s Eurovision alumni. With her fifth studio album Only Love, L being released next Friday, Lena is aiming for the top of the charts. Her new release “sex in the morning” is the third single from the upcoming LP.

The track is another upbeat affair. Produced by German hitmaker Jugglerz, this follows certain patterns that have proven to be very successful on the German charts lately.

And Lena doesn’t do it all alone. With the help of British rapper Ramz, the “Satellite” hit maker is in good company.

Lena – “sex in the morning”

Lyrically, the song is her most daring yet. Singing “stop, stretch, sex in the morning”, Lena definitely knows what she’s going for. And we can’t fault her for that!

Production-wise, this latest song fits well with the previously released tracks. It seems more and more certain that the album will be full of electronic, tropical-influenced pop beats.

Since it’s release on Friday, the track has already reached the top 50 on the German iTunes sales charts. Additionally, it has also entered Germany’s Spotify and Apple Music charts. With the summer season about to come, you definitely need to put this song on your playlist!

Last Friday, the LP’s second single, “Don’t Lie to Me”, entered the German single charts at number 63. While that is her lowest peaking single yet, it has already climbed up to number three on the German iTunes charts. And just this week it entered the German airplay top 100. With the album release coming up, there’s still room for this song to grow as well.

“Don’t Lie To Me” marks Lena’s twenty-second entry on the German single charts, following the album’s lead single “Thank You”, which peaked at number 40 late last year.

After hearing these first three singles it’s fair to say we are very excited to get our hands on the full album. Only Love, L drops on Friday 5th April.

What do you think about Lena’s new song? Are you excited for the album release next week? And what do you take away from the lyrics? Sound off in the the comments section below!

I take the opportunity to report that our 2010 French contestant, Jessy Matador, will release a new single on April 12, 2019. The title of the song is “Pardonner” (featuring with DJ Flash and Jessica Errero)
