Here at wiwibloggs we spend most of our time looking to the future — and more specifically to May. But thanks to MyHeritage, we’re also looking to the past.
In recent weeks we’ve uploaded photos to the MyHeritage Eurovision Look-alike app to see which Eurovision stars of yesteryear we most resemble. And we’ve also been busy swabbing our cheeks with limited-edition, Eurovision-themed DNA kits. We’re dying to get our results and have our fingers crossed that we’re distantly related to the likes of Netta, Eleni and our other beloved queens.
So it’s with buckets of enthusiasm that we announce we’ve partnered with MyHeritage — the official sponsor of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 — to bring you exciting new content in the weeks ahead and on-the-ground in Tel Aviv. With thoughts of our DNA, it is time to slay.
There’s lots of videos and coverage in the pipeline for when we land in Israel, but here are some highlights of things we’ll bring you before then.

The bus goes beep! During the recent Eurovision in Concert, our bloggers had a blast “riding” the Eurovision Bus and engaging with passersby and concert-goers. And we’ll continue to do so as the bus moves from Copenhagen to Lisbon via places like London and Madrid. We’ll be on hand to share some of our favourite moments and encourage folks to #DareToSing!
Eurovision ticket giveaways! As you’re all aware tickets are a bit harder to come by this year — there are fewer of them and they aren’t cheap. I don’t mind if they make an article about one of their sponsors. Because they need the money for their travels to the national finals, pre-party’s and hosting nation of esc. And traveling is not cheap,

Massive commercial articles on wiwibloggs (blog, Instagram)?? I have been commenting here for one year now, with massive fun and love and passion, but this is so ridiculous… I love this website, but articles and posts (plural!) about MyHeritage are just no Eurovision news, sorry… Go sell your soul to this company…
My take: the world is not black and white (no pun intended) and everyone has the right to think for themselves, make decisions for themselves. When it comes to using services like this one, it is important to make an informed decision, think it through. Nobody is forced to do something they don’t want to do. Running Wiwlbloggs costs money and it costs a lot of money to cover Eurovision – travel, food, public transport, accomodation for pre-parties and in the host country etc. Israel is an offensively expensive country. especially accommodation. I agree with you that Israel will make it work and make it all happening. I also agree that Wiwibloggs should get money from somewhere. So no arguments there. However, “Israel is an offensively expensive country, especially accommodation”… R U serious? I’ve staid at a hotel at Dizengoff Square, near the so called ‘rainbow fountain’ a few years ago; it wasn’t all that expensive. Also, one can haggle at Carmel market (just a small walk away) for souvenirs, and day a trip to Jerusalem was rather inexpensive. I don’t disagree with you, there may be cheaper options and of course it all depends on how people plan their stay, and how long they stay. However, I am serious and stand by what I wrote. Israel is more expensive than European countries – except maybe Nordic and Scandinavian. If people shop and cook their own food, it’s ok. But restaurants are generally expensive – there are cheaper options but you have to know where to go. Public transportation plans are expensive. It is possible to share taxis and there are shuttles too, but it depends. On Shabbat, there… Read more »
I shall be honest: I’m from The Netherlands, and for me the prices were relatively low. I can also understand, that if you’re from – as an example – Moldova, things are REALLY expensive. But that’s the same when visiting The Netherlands, Norway, Germany or the UK for example, or me going to Moldova or North Macedonia (also a beautiful country btw!). Concerning shabbat: Jerusalem is locked down, almost nothing will open. Tel Aviv is very different, though. Some stores and restaurants may close, but many stay open – at least around Dizengoff street, Dizengoff square and Dizengoff shopping center.… Read more »

I just love the part about Charlotte Perrelli, as MyHeritage apparently forgot to mention the 50% botox, fillers and other cosmetic improvements as part of her heritage. :.-)
