As we get ever closer to Eurovision 2019, the OGAE poll — where fans across Europe (and the rest of the world) get to vote for their favourite of this year’s acts — is also continuing. Countries are submitting their votes thick and fast, with the latest results coming from Germany, Luxembourg, and Russia.
When we last checked in, the race was tighter than ever between the three frontrunners, Italy, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. And now with a new batch of votes coming in from Germany, Luxembourg and Russia, the results are even closer with a total of only two points separating the top three countries.
The latest set of votes also brought good news for Czech Republic and Latvia, who both received their first points so far in the poll.
Full votes from OGAE Germany
Scoreboard courtesy of OGAE International
- Switzerland – 12 points
- The Netherlands – 10 points
- Italy – 8 points
- Norway – 7 points
- Sweden – 6 points
- Iceland – 5 points
- Russia – 4 points
- Denmark – 3 points
- Cyprus – 2 points
- Azerbaijan – 1 point
The results from OGAE Germany are largely similar to the general overall results and don’t offer up any surprises. Germany awarded their 12 and 10 points to their neighbours, Switzerland and the Netherlands, respectively, with Italy, Norway, and Sweden filling up the rest of their top five.
Coming in eighth position with OGAE Germany, Denmark’s Leonora received her second set of votes so far in the poll.

- Switzerland – 12 points
- The Netherlands – 10 points
- Sweden – 8 points
- Italy – 7 points
- Norway – 6 points
- Azerbaijan – 5 points
- Cyprus – 4 points
- Iceland – 3 points
- Spain – 2 points
- Israel – 1 point
Just like OGAE Germany, OGAE Luxembourg awarded their top set of points to their neighbours, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Clocking in at third place is Sweden, with frontrunner Italy just behind in fourth place.
Further down their scoreboard, OGAE Luxembourg awarded Israel’s Kobi Marimi their tenth place. This is Israel’s second time receiving points thus far.
Full votes from OGAE Russia

- Iceland – 12 points
- North Macedonia – 10 points
- Albania – 8 points
- Norway – 7 points
- Czech Republic – 6 points
- Spain – 5 points
- Slovenia – 4 points
- Denmark – 3 points
- Latvia – 2 points
- Sweden – 1 point
In stark contrast to OGAE Germany and Luxembourg’s results — which were largely indicative of the overall scoreboard — OGAE Russia has delivered what is certainly the most contrasting set of scores yet.
OGAE Russia is the only club so far to not award a single point to any of the three frontrunners, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Russia instead gave their douze points to Iceland’s Hatari, the band’s highest score yet.
In second place is North Macedonia’s Tamara Todevska, who certainly has a lot to be “Proud” of. Having come in tenth place twice already, this is by far her best placing in the poll so far, and moves her up all the way from last place to 18th on the overall scoreboard.
Rounding out the top three is Albania’s Jonida Maliqi. OGAE Russia awarded Albania eight points, which — like Iceland and North Macedonia — is by far their best result in the poll thus far.
In fifth place is Czech Republic’s Lake Malawi. Earning six points from OGAE Russia, this is Czech Republic’s first time receiving points so far, earning them a spot on the scoreboard. Also receiving their first set of points is Latvia’s Carousel who came in ninth place with OGAE Russia. Both Latvia and Czech Republic can rest easy knowing that they have avoided the dreaded nil points.
OGAE Poll 2019 scores so far
The latest batch of points was full of surprises (almost all of which came from OGAE Russia). But perhaps the most exciting revelation to emerge from these scores is that the poll’s top three contenders — the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy — now stand with a total of only two points differentiating them. The Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence is clinging to first place by just one point.
This news is even more exciting when you realise that the three frontrunners — while almost tied with each other — sit at a whopping 120 points ahead of Norway, who are currently in fourth place.
Now that 32 out of the total 45 clubs have voted, the full picture is beginning to unfold. It seems quite likely now that Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands will take the top three spots, and that third through fifth place will go to Cyprus, Norway, and Sweden. That being said, a surprise jump by Azerbaijan, Iceland, or Russia isn’t out of the question just yet and could land one of them in the top six.
- 1. The Netherlands – 281 points
- 2. Switzerland – 280 points
- 3. Italy – 279 points
- 4. Norway – 159 points
- 5. Sweden – 144 points
- 6. Cyprus – 143 points
- 7. Russia – 88 points
- 8 = Azerbaijan – 83 points
- 8 = Iceland – 83 points
- 10. Greece – 67 points
- 11. Spain – 54 points
- 12. Malta – 39 points
- 13. France – 20 points
- 14 = Denmark – 18 points
- 14 = Portugal – 18 points
- 16 = Belgium – 117 points
- 16 = Slovenia – 17 points
- 18. North Macedonia – 12 points
- 19. Albania – 10 points
- 20 = Armenia – 9 points
- 20 = San Marino – 9 points
- 22. Poland – 7 points
- 23. Czech Republic – 6 points
- 24. Israel – 5 points
- 25 = Estonia – 2 points
- 25 = Hungary – 2 points
- 25 = Latvia – 2 points
- 25 = United Kingdom – 2 points
With a total of 28 countries now on the scoreboard, there are still 13 that have yet to receive a single point. They include Australia, Austria, Belarus, Croatia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, and Serbia. But with 13 clubs still left to present their votes, these countries still have plenty of time to make it onto the scoreboard.
What do you think of the latest results? Who will come out on top in the battle for first place? Sound off in the comments below!

I’m ready to bribe someone for a point for Kate and Zero Gravity…just joking of course, but I can dream can’t I?
Im not happy that Australia don have any. So unfair and strange. In the real ESC Australia will be in top 10. Im 100% sure. Its so good 🙂
Yes, Zero Gravity is extremely underrated at the moment but staunch ESC fans won’t give it the recognition it deserves because it’s Australia. Ever since my country has become a more permanent fixture in the competition, there has been a lot of negativity towards us and it seems to get worse, not better. We were invited to participate. Wish people could be more open-minded.
What this ogae people know about art anyway, seeing Norway, Switzerland abd San Marino receiving points, LOL. I’m sure jury will reward this and will get plenty of televote as well.
OGAE Luxembourg – 33 members
OGAE Russia – 20 members
ehhh o.0
There are several Eurovision fan clubs in Russia, one of them having 55,000 members 🙂 OGAE has no authority in Russia
Don’t know if you reported it yet but the ROTW votes are also in as of yesterday. Bit more of a useful indicator as it has a lot more members than some of these OGAE clubs (20 members…seriously, Russia?).
The results were:
1. Italy
2. Netherlands
3. Switzerland
4. Norway
5. Cyprus
6. Iceland
7. Sweden
8. Greece
9. Australia
10. Azerbaijan
Russia just missed out on points. Needless to say, this was not how I voted!
My prayers have been answered! Thank you all for the point you awarded Kate! We are finally on the score board. Now i’m Hoping for a point or 2 for Austria.
Netherlands is my favourite to win, but I think Malta, Hungary and Belgium are VERY underated songs and are gonna do very well (if they have good staging/act).
I’m very happy for Latvia and Czechia’s first points.
Huh … Guys, Belgium has 117 points and is ranked 16th.
There’s something wrong here x)
Latvia is getting points, makes me laugh! Along Georgia and Montenegro = 3 of the worst songs of the year
I think Georgia will Qualify beacuse its a very good song i think:) Montenegro and Latvia will NOT.
Don`t push your cheap taste to others. Latvia is classy and magic. Definitely my winner.
I hope Germany, Romania and Serbia avoid the nil points. With Australia these are the most likely to still recieve some points.
I don’t know what’s this but whatever it is my vote goes to Malta .
Sweden will do better than many think, me thinks 🙂 It will won jury vote, and it would be completely justified this year unlike last year, they have good song and performer this year.
It’s already predicted to reach top 5, so I don’t know how better it will go..
But I see where you are coming from. Reading Wiwiblogg where it isn’t exactly a popular song would you make you think differently. But then again Sweden has been hated on here since 2012 so I wouldn’t pay to much attention to it.
Sweden is predicted to reach top 5 so I don’t know how to do better!
But I understand where you come from. The song isn’t exactly popular on this site and those who say they like it will get downvoted so I get where you get it from. But then again, it’s more rule than exception to hate Sweden on this site so I wouldn’t put to much thought into it either..
Yes, exactly, my comment is after seeing general opinion towards Sweden on this site. I have no problem to say that entry is bad when it’s bad imo, on the other hand, I will not bash song which is good only because that’s “in” at the moment.
Err… you can say a lot, but NOT that Switzerland and The Netherlands are neighbours of Luxembourg. There’s a country between them in both cases: Belgium between Luxembourg and The Netherlands, Germany or France between Luxembourg and Switzerland. Which is ironic, because none of the actual neighbouring countries of Luxembourg, got points from them.
Now, back to school to study some more on geography! 😉
russia’s votes i-
they probably thought their awful song was going to do sumthin so they decided to sabotage the three favorites i guess. bloop !
Let’s have all OGAE vote the same! Russia named the right winner Iceland.
Look at those H atari fans, pretty much immature like Bilal fans.
I wonder how many countries (juries) will blank each other in the contest, alla Cyprus/Israel 2018, Portugal/Bulgaria 2017
Heck NO. I hate Russia #KingDuncan
And we hate you.
Russia’s outcomes made me giggle.
Albania top 3 and the others overrated top 3 out of top 10. Russians have taste.
Taste….of what.?..this awfull musical song….or the taste in gayrights.? Yeahh great taste….?
I love their votes. They are diverse and dont have any TOP 3 countries. I missed this kind of votings.
Avoiding to vote for what has been established as your direct competition is not diverse voting, it’s tactical voting. And it’s laughable cause it won’t affect anything in reality
Guessing youre from russia or any “so called neighbour ” of russia…?
Russia could give higher points to Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, but it didn’t. You are all hypocrites. It can be easily mentioned the neighboring televoting among other countries. Iceland is in TOP-10 according bookmakers.
Ogae Russia didn’t, but russian televote will give them points in May, so I don’t know who is hypocrite, lol
Ogae Germany results are quite interesting: Excepting Italy, only generic songs, and only in English, mostly Nothern countries.
Who are they and what do they decide about? Who still believes in these results and that one of these will win. Fill in and do not overwhelm us with unnecessary information.
Relax, take it fun! It’s supposed to be fun. No one claims it’s the final result or that it will be like this. Its just fans voting for songs, that’s it! It might give a hint which songs are likely to do well, but that’s that.
We just need something to keep us entertained until the show:)
20 members of ogae Russia think that top 10 should look like this lmao! It’s so pathetic to feel threatened like that by your main competitors.
Russia gave 12 points to Iceland (most likely winner). Also Norway and Spain. Nothing weird, there are 41 countries, not all like Arcade. This is why all OGAE vote the same, they are afraid to be different. I like Russia’s vote. What about cultural diversity?
Ogae votes represent cultural diversity lol. So I have to vote for songs which I don’t like just to have cultural diversity! And don’t be so sure that Iceland is the winner.
You can bet your right hand that Iceland is the winner.
Iceland has no shot of winning. It will be destroyed by juries.
…and let’s not act like it’ll be the televote winner either
You are not right. Europe is angry after so many politically correct winners. Enough is enough. This is this year’s attitude.
how is iceland the ‘most likely winner’ when we all kno the jury gon bury them
When was the last time when juries voted like you thought they would?
Last year with Austria and Sweden, maybe?
Usually everyone complains that all members vote the same or in line with the odds. This is refreshing and exciting. I rarely agree anyway, but I always find it fun to see what others think.
Luca is so overrated, I want Sergey and Miki to be much higher!
Sergey will be flop of the year.
I really don’t think so. In the eurovision-bubbel and in the Wiwi-bubble it’s more rule than a exeption to bash Italy, Sweden and Russia every year. Though, I would say that Italaly is the exeption this year in many ways. But Russia is well recieved outsider the bubbles. It is one of my favorites along with Romania, Italy, Spain, Iceland, Estonia and San Mariano. Of course I support my country aswell and I like the song. But I wouldn’t mind Russia winning, or Italy for that matter. Sergey has a powerful song and he is an amaizing performer. I’m really… Read more »
Lol Italy is never bashed, italian songs are pretty much always fanwank and do well in televote as well. And that is pretty much justified because Italy brings quality songs and doesn’t rely on bloc voting unlike others! Sergey’s song is so calculated and artificial, let’s invest money on staging and have bloc voting and there you go! Besides, his voice is not suited to this song, just like guy from Denmark last year who sang epic song with tenor voice.
We want Daily digest, please!
It’s nice that you want the Daily Digest. Unfortunately, I am tied up with other life matters at the moment and don’t have the time to do organise it anymore. And others on the team are busy with their own things, so there’s no one to take up the mantle. 🙁
Is it the first year that we have 3 front-runners after 32 countries have voted?
It certainly the first in many years. I can’t recall an equivalent year.
Oh those Russians hahaha unbelievable..
Lately, Wiwibloggs has articles that are either very old (interviews we saw one week ago on yt) or very useless (OGAE).
No article about Moscow pre-party either.. Is it because Sergey wasn’t there? From what I saw on yt all participants had very good performances.
Be patient, we will find out about Moscow pre party in July. There’s no rush. LOL LOL LOL.
And about Eurovision in September? I don’t think I can wait that long. Oof, I hope not.
