Every day between now and the grand final in May, the team from wiwibloggs will be rounding up the latest titbits from the world of Eurovision 2019. We’ve trawled through Instagram, Twitter and elsewhere so that y’all don’t have to. This is the Daily Digest for Tuesday 30 April.
Kate Miller-Heidke is keeping busy
Australia’s Kate Miller-Heidke isn’t only an excellent performer — she’s also a profound songwriter. She wrote several songs with her husband Keir Nuttall for the all-new tour of Australian comedian, writer and singer Em Rusciano. The tour starts on July 19 in Melbourne and will conclude in Sydney on August 10. Laughs and music? Sign us up! (Florian)
Kobi Marimi enjoys a well-deserved massage
Israel’s Kobi Marimi has been on the move. With Eurovision just around the corner it’s definitely a good idea to take some time to relax. With this power massage, we’re sure that Kobi is even better prepared for his big moment on stage during the grand final on May 18. (Florian)
John Lundvik rehearses for Digiloo summer concert tour
John Lundvik has a busy summer season ahead. Just a few weeks after Eurovision, he’s joining a 24 stops summer concert tour all over Sweden. On Instagram, he posted a video of him rehearsing for the shows. Most exciting of it all is that he’s rehearsing a Swedish language song! Can’t wait to hear more of him all summer long! (Florian)
Happy birthday to Tamara Todevska’s daughter Hana
This year’s entrant for North Macedonia, Tamara Todevska, has nothing but good reason to celebrate – it’s her daughter’s birthday! Tamara has previously said her daughter is the inspiration behind her Eurovision entry “Proud”, making this year’s birthday celebration even more special. In a photo posted on Instagram, one can see them spending time together – she’s definitely proud of her! On behalf of the Wiwibloggs team we’re wishing happy birthday to Hana! (Florian)
Darude and Sebastian Rejman do final promo stops in Finland
Their entry “Look Away” is one to look out at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Over the last couple of weeks, they have also been busy promoting their song on radio stations throughout their home country as well as giving interviews… or doing photoshoots with some interesting props! (Florian)
Montenegro’s D Mol releases rehearsal video
Montenegro’s group D Mol has released a video of a rehearsal. Thankfully there’s no sign of any ’90s pop group-inspired choreography from the Montengrin sextet, but their vocals are harmonic and already on point! (Jacintha)
Estonia’s Victor Crone dresses up for movie night
Victor Crone loves to dress up in a good suit. And this latest post is no exception as he shows a casual outfit for a movie night to watch the new Avengers Endgame movie. Could we see a similar look on stage in Tel Aviv? (Florian)
Lake Malawi’s Albert celebrates hometown team winning Czech national hockey league
Turns out that Lake Malawi’s Albert Černý is a big supporter of his local hockey team HC Oceláři Třinec, which won their second national trophy. With such great news coming in for Albert, he’s surely even more proud to fly his countries’ flag in Tel Aviv this May. And who knows if there might be another win for the Czech Republic around the corner! (Florian)
Leonora is emotionally reunited with red beanie
On the pre-party circuit, Denmark’s Leonora became known for wearing a red beanie, which never seemed to leave her head. But disaster struck in Moscow, when Leonora left her beanie behind in a taxi on the way to the pre-party. Oh no! Luckily for Leonora, the beanie was found and it got back to her the next morning. Let’s hope she doesn’t have any wardrobe issues like that in Tel Aviv! (Robyn)
Tamara surprises a fan with rendition of “Proud”
Just before leaving for Tel Aviv, North Macedonia’s Tamara Todevska has given a surprise performance of “Proud”. She snuck into the home of Nina Kostovska, who was born with Down syndrome, to show her support for the work she’s now doing training teachers and professors in the country on how to deal with children with disabilities. Tamara notes in the video: “She is proof that you can do whatever you in want in life, if you believe in yourself.” (Jonathan)
ZENA spends her day recording in the studio
Our lovely ZENA from Belarus knows how to productively spend her time, as she’s been keeping busy in the studio. Could we be in for some new music after the Eurovision buzz in Tel Aviv is over? We’re excited to see what the rising young star has in store for us in the near future! (Florian)
What Tamara did is called “inspiration porn”, a really wrong and disgusting thing to do. She disappointed me really much, I loved the song before.
Nevena uploaded English version yesterday which is better then Serbian language because of her way of singing, not language. Wiwis don’t care about Serbia huh
Leonora said the red beanie was a present she received when she won the national final.
Off topic: Do u think this could actually be Finland’s staging if it is it looks amazing!!

Maybe she just like it, beanies are cute for me. I have a lot of them too, but I like to make them tho.
Tamara is so sweet!
I hope she will qualify.

Victor doesn’t know the meaning of casual , clearly !!

Well the guy can sing . I don’t understand what was up with that useless and contrived ‘Acoustic ‘ version then?
If he brings these qualities to the stage he can shoot straight up to top 5.
I wanna massage Kobi next 😛
I can write a book about this Montenegrin song, you know,
You mean the bible?
I can write teen soap opera.
