Charm, hope, joy and sunshine.

During Denmark’s first rehearsal at Eurovision 2019 Leonora served us all that and more.

She starts out underneath her giant chair, transitioning to the front of the chair, the ladder and being joined by friends for a seat.

There is something entirely endearing about Denmark.

It has cute childish touches, bags of warmth, and takes you up to the clouds.

In particular there is a beautiful moment where the sun explodes across the screen.

Denmark received among the loudest claps in the press centre today and it is easy to understand why. This has warmed up a lot from the national final and Leonora looks like she’s having fun.

Incidentally, she sounds fabulous too.

A cute idea, and a “health & safety nightmare”, as I think Chris Halpin said. 🙂
I love this song anyways.

If you try to do cute and it doesn’t quite work, you end up with this.
I hated Austria 2016 but this might actually be worse. It’s a hard pass from me.

This sounds like a song from those kids shows on your local TV programs. No thank you!

There’s an audience for that and I think Denmark will qualify. It plays it cards quite well, but it’s not my thing. Not because it’s cute and fuffly (I loved “Loin d’ici”!) but because it’s clueless.

I can’t stand the song but I have to admit that the staging is very cute

I think this will do very well in televise, just like loin d’ici. There is a market for this guys, outside the bubble. My friend who was in moscow preview party said it was his absolute face, and he is not an esc fan

looks and sounds like something that’ll do awfully with the televote but will be pulled thru by the juries

Denmark has really lost the plot since they last won
This is a song for Children. So sickeningly sweet.. And the multilingual part makes it even more cringe!
Still I think they will qualify, it’s decent enough

There is a funny thing i come across in almost every youtube comment section that,
-How tall you want your chair to be?
-YES!’
What is that all about?

I think it’s a meme that originally was about someone getting plenty of options about something and the person just responding “yes”, but it’s getting really overused in the rehearsal comments…

I can already imagine someone commenting on Sweden’s rehearsal video “How many choir singers do you want? John Lundvik: Yes”

Do you have the source of this meme? Where does it come from?

It’s about getting a suggestion over something and instead of saying inc “5 metres” they answer with “YES” to get the most extreme solution. the meme came from a vine i believe

I don’t like it. The stage should be more colorful, it looks too dark,

The people on the chair look like they come from different continents. From left to right: Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, South America. I see what you did there, Ms. Leonora.
