Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2020 concludes on Saturday 7 March. And while Swedish fans can catch the Eurovision selection by switching their televisions to SVT 1, international viewers will need to try alternative means.

Here’s when and how you can watch Melfest’s grand final.

Grand Final | Stockholm — 7 March 2020

Time: 20:00 CET to 22:00 CET

The Mello 2020 grand final will be streamed live on SVT Play. It will be available to watch worldwide and will remain online for catch-up viewing.

The final will see 12 artists perform. The results will be determined a mixture of televotes and an international jury.

I would love to see English subtitles for the live shows. That would make the festival go global indeed.

It’s a Swedish show made for Swedish audiences. It doesn’t want to go global..

Yeah, I don’t want English subtitles. You may miss a few jokes, but it’s very easy to understand what’s going on even if you don’t speak Swedish. If you follow the Melodifestivalen twitter account they explain what’s going on in English as it happens, anyway – so they must have some interest in audiences outside Sweden, otherwise why would they bother?

I can affirm that SVT iPlayer is available to play in America, because that’s how I’ve been able to watch eurovision

Really??? Last year while watching melo I had to log on via a VPN to watch (am Canada based though so mayb that’s why? We don’t even have instagam music available for stories).

SVT Play works worldwide so yo should just be able to watch it..
