I an rooting for Khayat, but I would be good with Go_A as well. Unless they translate the song to English, that is.

I have a feeling if GoA wins she won’t smile! Though if she did win it might make her realise that life doesn’t have to be so serious! Khayat should win but the live performance is not as good as the studio version

It’s Krut’ or Tvorchi for me. The rest are massively overrated.

Ukraine have really impressed me this year. I enjoy both the top 2 here, they would both be great for Rotterdam. There were also some great songs in the semis, and even if I feel physically sick listening to Jerry Heil, I can still acknowledge it’s a well-produced song and will have its audience. Plus, the presentation of the songs live is gorgeous, one of the best this season. So all in all, well done Ukraine, you’ve done a great job!

Indeed. I have enjoyed the music at Vidbir this year, which came as a pleasant surprise to me.
It’s a strong final line-up, so best of luck to all.

the song of Go_A and Krut have a real soul – khayats song not because it is average pop with white singing as a gimmick.
i’m still thinking, that the white angel will deliver best in rotterdam.
i hope for Krut and if not Krut for Go_A as winner. 🙂
the ukrain jury will be very important – prefer they true magic music or average fastfood pop like khayat or tvorchi?
can remember melovin 2 years ago – he won with average pop against maybe better option vilna and get spanked in the ESC final.

Melovin won because of his fanbase, and his pop was respectable enough for the juries not to thrash him at Vidbir. That factor won’t be as prevalent this time.

I might be alone in the fandom but aligned with Ukranians and I really like Tvorchi.
Theres personality and it’s like they are just there performing without worrying or trying too hard which makes the appeal.
I really like Krut as well

You aren’t alone. I like both Krut’ and Tvorchi. Don’t see the hype about Go-A or Khayat. Probably it’s their PR machine.

I’m not a trained singer or musician so perhaps I’m not qualified to comment and it might just be me but……. Khayat sounds really bad live, right?

If either Solovey or Call For Love makes it to Rotterdam, I can see Ukraine’s perfect qualification record being smashed to pieces.
Not bad songs, sound much better on Spotify than live. However, these are the two frontrunners and their live performances were appalling.

no he doesn’t, song is in english and that is why it is a snooze i’m thinking about not watching the contest if all of you basics are gonna make the most generic contest to date 🙁 and i am a huge huge eurovision fan but i’m not feeling it this year so far if i wanna listen to english songs i can do so rest of year on radio with all those random english songs eurovision should be more with own language, and also feeling like olympic games for music, sharing different cultures through music and not feeling that… Read more »

I completely agree with the poll results, especially the top three.
If you give me my odd fascination with David Axelrod’s voice (and hair), I’m happy.

Yes I agree and looks like it’s true judging from the negative reaction to your comment .. this is an absolutely awful song and reminds me of the dark era of Eurovision type song from 2001 to 2009… to be fair the whole Ukrainian selection this year is awful…

Yes. It’s about time Ukraine stays in the semi.

I thought they learned their lesson in 2017 when they sent the wrong act to represent them.
