The Roop On Fire Lithuania Eurovision 2020

They ascended the throne last weekend. And after several days of intense voting, Lithuania’s The Roop remain your favourite Eurovision 2020 act so far.

The Roop is your favourite Eurovision 2020 act so far — 26 February

Voting began on Sundaythe same day Lithuania rose to the top of the betting odds — and since then we’ve counted a whooping 15,274 votes. The

Pabandom iš naujo! winners proved to be comfortable poll toppers yet again. The Roop picked up 3,430 votes or 22.46% of all votes cast.

Despite a renewed push from her Arilenators, Albania’s Arilena Ara is the runner-up for a second week. The “Shaj” songstress attracted 2,750 votes — her highest tally since Blas Cantó and Benny Cristo was her only competition in the second poll.

In third, we see our highest new entry — Ukraine’s Go_A. The group’s “Solovey” offers a unique mixture of modern and ethnic beats coupled with white voice vocals. However, the heady concoction hasn’t frightened off our readers. A total of 1,162 rowed behind the Vidbir 2020 winners.

Down one spot from the last poll is Norway’s Ulrikke Brandstorp. The “Attention” hitmaker attracted 1,483 votes or 9.71% of all votes cast.

Italy’s Diodato completes the top five. The “Fai rumore” crooner got 1,050 votes or 6.87% of all votes cast.

At the other end of the table is Slovenia’s Ana Soklič and France’s Tom Leeb. Neither act managed to take their support levels above 2%.

From now until 8 March is almost completely blocked out with new song releases or national finals. There is potentially a small breather on Monday 2 March. If the day stays freed up, we’ll launch a fresh poll then.

Ok, The Roop, I cant stop laughing, it seems like a spoof song to parody stereotypical Eurovision songs. Is this musical comedic genius, or is this for real? Sort of like that Stephen Colbert Eurovision song he did. If you haven’t seen it look it up on YouTube.

maybe musically and vocally Lithuania is not the best, but it’s the song that makes me smile while I’m listening it, such a happy vibe))
I think I’ll vote for this in May

There’s still Cicciolina, which will fight with Lithuania to be this year’s televote winner.

Lithuania still at number one. This is really ridiculous! What makes this “song” so damn good that people keep on voting for it… Oh wait a minute that’s right … Nothing!!!

Just a wild guess here: maybe the fact that it is the best one so far?

I’ve noticed that there are quite many Lithuanians on Wiwibloggs so they can vote for it. But also I understand everybody who likes it because this year had been pretty tragic. I like “On Fire” too but it’s not a winner.

It’s not jealousy, people have different tastes and it’s OK when some people don’t like it. Isn’t it a bit cocky to say that everybody who is not crazy for this song is jealous?

I have a huge déjà vu feeling. Just like last year if you said something negative about the Netherlands it was hell on earth. Same thing with Lithuania this year… God forbid that you say something negative about their entry.. Just except the fact that we all have different taste.

Passionate fans? We also don’t know at this point if the revamp will be just as good as the festival version or not. I’m actually not familiar rising myself with Shaj until the revamp is out. I don’t want to bias myself.
