Eesti-laul-2021-acts-estonia

The 24 competing songs for Eesti Laul 2021 were released back in December. Now, Estonia’s ERR has published the running order for both semi-finals.

This also means that we now know which acts will perform in which semi-final.

Eurovision 2014 singer Tanja will open the entire selection, performing first in semi-final one on 18 February. Other big names in this heat include Egert Milder and two-time Eurovision star Koit Toome. Ivo Linnaanother song contest alum, will close the evening alongside Robert Linna and Supernova.

Semi-final two kicks off on 20 February with two firm fan favourites — Sissi followed by Gram-Of-Fun. Eesti Laul 2020 winner Uku Suviste can also be found here, as can Jüri Pootsmann. The problematic Alabama Watchdog are set to perform tenth. Suured Tüdrukud have secured the last slot in the running order.

As in previous years, six acts will progress from each semi. The first four will be determined by a mixture of public and jury vote while the fifth and sixth place qualifiers will be chosen solely by the public in a second round of voting.

The grand final will take place on 6 March. Grete Kuld and Tõnis Niinemets will host all three shows.

There’s actually a good few songs I like this year (at least in the snippets I heard)
Karl killing – kiss me
Koite Toome – we could have been beautiful
Uku suviste – the lucky one (much better than last year
And juri’s song.
There’s some other alright ones but these are my main picks.
Eesti laul is strong this year.

Oh, the producers killing Gram of Fun chances. Okey… Hope the running order doesn’t affect that much

I am 99% sure that Ivo Linna will advance from the first semi-final. Estonian song, TV viewers like it, the jury does not leave Ivo without high points.
Egert Milder and Koit Toome will also advance from the 1st semi-final, the other 3 finalists will already depend on the stage numbers.

In the 2nd semifinal, Kadri Voorand gets high points from the jury, but how do TV viewers vote for the song? Uku Suviste, Jüri Pootsmann, Suured Tüdrukud will get the final with almost 100% probability.

That’s an excellent line-up. Well done Estonia. 🙂
This should be very exciting, as long as everyone is safe and well.

Why is “Heaven’s Not That Far Tonight” the LAST song in Semifinal 2? The lyrics literally say, “This’ll be one hell of a show,” and “So let’s get on with the show.”
It makes way more sense to start the show with it.

Kaire vilgats and Dagmar Oja aka Suured Tüdrukud are very popular background singers in Estonia and I am sure that they will reach the finals, especially with the votes of the jury.

Reminder that Verona performed second in 2017… and won. In 2016 Jüri Pootsmann performed second in his semi and also won. Kerli was also second in her semi and Uku performed 3rd last year in his semi.

Running order means absolutely nothing in Eesti Laul, so calm down before you comment about who is being sabotaged etc. 🙂

Both Verona and Play won from the 2nd place, and Uku won from 3rd. Running order means nothing.

Maybe they’ll get a better spot in the final? I hope they win (if not then Juri or Wingman) but I think that Uku will take it… For me Uku’s songs is miles better than last year but is still just ok as a song for me personally.

Great place for Juri. I hope he can pull through and win this, but I am kind of already accepting of the fact that it will 99% probably go to Uku (Suviste not Haasma).

same, it’s so sad really that nobody else stands a chance in the voting system as it is. There’s literally 1% chance that anybody else wins
