The second heat of Lithuania’s Pabandom Iš Naujo 2021 was filmed on Tuesday 19 January. This means we now know the last ten acts who will appear in the televised broadcast on Saturday 23 January. Pre-qualified finalists The Roop will also perform their entry “Discotheque”.
The ten-song line-up means that Gintarė Korsakaitė is officially out — up to this point LRT had not commented on reports on her withdrawal. Neither she nor the previously withdrawn Evelina Sašenko have been replaced.
The panel members for episode two are Ramūnas Zilnys, Gerūta Griniūtė, Vytautas Bikus, Ieva Narkutė and Stanislavas Stavickis – Stano.
The Roop to debut “Discoteque”
The Roop — Pabandom Iš Naujo! 2020 winners — will perform their 2021 effort “Discoteque” in this heat. But they’re only showcasing the song to the public, as they received an automatic pass to the final following the cancellation of Eurovision 2020.
Writing on Instagram, the group say “the new song “Discoteque” is not a copy of “On Fire”. That’s what we wanted the least. However, one thing that is in common (apart from band members) is that both sound somewhat unusual”. Fans will be able to hear the entry for the first time when it is released on Friday 22 January.
Pabandom Iš Naujo! 2021: Heat Two Acts
Here are the ten acts competing in Heat One of Pabandom Iš Naujo! 2021, listed as per the show’s running order.
1. UnoBand “Eisiu”
Pop-rock singer Uno is trying his luck for the first time in the national selection with his group — UnoBand. While still relatively new, the band has already done several live concerts. “Eisiu” (I Will Go) will bring something new and fresh to the Pabandom Iš Naujo stage.
2. Rapolas Meškauskas “Degam”
Rapolas is a new name in the competition. He’s previously been part of TV projects in LRT but this will be his debut as a solo singer. His song “Degam” (Burning) is entirely in Lithuanian. Fun fact he is a basketball player.
3. Sunday Afternoon “Open”
Lithuania’s Eurovision 2014 star Vilija Matačiūnaitė returns using a new stage name — Sunday Afternoon. She last took part in the national selection in 2017. This time she is gives us the beautiful “Open”. This will be her first public appearance after a long break.
4. Aistė Brokenleg “Home”
The alternative, avant-garde, indie-pop singer and actress Aistė made her debut in 2020. Sadly she didn’t make it out of her heat. But it seems this year she’s going for something more laid back and less chaotic with “Home”
5. Cosmic Bride “Solitary Star”
Natalija Chareckaja is back after three years to make a second attempt at Lithuania’s selection. In the interim, the composer and vocalist has adopted an edgy new stage name — Cosmic Bride. She wrote “Solitary Star” herself.
6. Norbertas “Man In Need”
Norbertas is another act who competed on Lithuania’s X Factor. He has a very distinct kind of voice which is sure to impress a lot of people. He’ll sing “Man in Need”.
7. Gabrielė Goštautaitė “Freedom”
While Gabrielė is still a new face to the mainstream, she already has significant experience as a singer and songwriter. “Freedom” is about being free and doing what you love to do. Her music video certainly shows that.
8. Gebrasy “Where’d You Wanna Go?”
Audrius Petrauskas is not a new name in Eurovizijos Atranka — this will be his fourth attempt as a solo artist. He started his music journey on Lithuania’s X Factor as part of Original Copy. He wrote his entry “Where’d You Wanna Go?” himself.
9. Evita Cololo “Be Paslapčių”
A recent winner of Lithuania’s The Voice, Evita definitely knows how to sing and has a lot of fans supporting her. Her unique R&B, soul, jazz–rap, future funk styles give her a distinct edge. Evita might be the new Monika Marija of this year’s national selection with her entry “Be paslapčių” (Without Any Secrets).
10. Gabrielius Vagelis “My Guy”
Eurovision fans already know Gabrielius Vagelis very well since this will be his sixth try in Lithuania’s national selection. His unique style and modern sound may prove to be competition for everyone’s favourites The Roop.

Tune in this Saturday to see who will be the last five qualifiers to the semi-final of Pabandom Iš Naujo 2021.
Who will qualify? Which songs are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments.
Gebrasy song it’s the only song that I liked from the whole selection, I’m waiting for the roop
This round sounds a bit more promising. Some of them aren’t that strong but at least they listenable. The standout here is probably Gebrasy. Really looking forward to hearing Gabrielius’ attempt. Norbertas might be good too. Those three should be in judging by their other songs. Evita and UnoBand would complete the remaining spots.
What a wise move for Gebrasy, placing his own entry in just one single round and the other two he composed (Titas&Benas’ and Milita’s) in the other, so as to avoid any kind of competition. With this effort, I just hope he makes the final with at least one of his songs.
But still, I’ll wait for Evita, Gabrielius and even Norbertas to release their songs. And from what’s already available, I can expect a slightly better round.
Evita’s song is just out!!

So, you are telling me that the singer of my clear favorite thus far is also a composer of two of my dramatic standouts of heat 1? Congrats to Mr. Petrauskas (Gebrasy)! A talented man indeed. 😉
Looks like taking 2020 as a year off from ESC was worth it for him. That man never reached a final as a performer, yet his songwriting looks promising.
Gebrasy’s song is actually really good! At last! Also super excited about the Roop, Gabrielius Vagelis and Evita Cololo.
This heat has nowhere to go but up. Sunday Afternoon’s (Vilija’s) song is interesting and experimental. Gabriele and Rapolas have pleasant songs, albeit kinda low-key. My favorite thus far is Gebrasy! The first song from PIN 2021 for which I feel like has some winner vibes (even if we assume that this is all centered around a certain group). Other than that, I am really looking forward to the songs of Gabrielius Vagelis and The Roop.
The rooooooop
excited for gabrielius and evita
