KiiM My Lonely Voice Melodi Grand Prix 2021

We met the four acts for Melodi Grand Prix 2021 semi-final four on Monday. And as Saturday’s show looms near, we’ve taken a look at the bookies’ odds for Norway’s Eurovision selection.

And, if the bookmakers are to be believed KiiM is the one to beat in semi-final four.

Melodi Grand Prix 2021 Odds: KiiM favourite to win semi-four

The “My Lonely Voice” crooner is trading on Unibet at odds of 1.85. Were these odds to play out on Saturday, he would win the semi and progress to the 20 February grand final. The remaining three acts would remain in contention for a wildcard slot, along with the eliminated entries from the other four semis.

KiiM’s closest competition, at least in the eyes of the bookies, is Landeveiens Helter. The supergroup of MGP icons can be backed at 2.5. Joiking duo Marianne Petha & Mikkel Gaup are third with odds of 6.0. Meanwhile, Royane brings up the rear at 7.5.

However, the bookies’ rankings are not necessarily an indicator of success. While the bookies did predict victories for Raylee and Emmy, Stina Talling was top of the odds ahead of semi-final one. Ultimately, though, Blåsemafian emerged victorious despite only having odds of 5.0.

Melodi Grand Prix 2021 Bookmakers’ Odds — semi-four

  1. KiiM 1.85
  2. Landeveiens Helter 2.5
  3. Marianne Pentha & Mikkel Gaup 6.0
  4. Royane 7.5

Odds correct as of 17:00 CET 4 February, via Unibet

How the odds work

The decimal odds number represents the amount you win for every krone/euro/dollar bet. The number represents the total payout, rather than the profit. Your stake is already included in the decimal number.

Taking odds of 1.90 as an example, for every €1.00 you bet, you will get back €1.90 if you win. This includes 90 cents profit plus your original one euro bet.

Bookmakers set odds by looking at factors such as prior form, statistics, historical precedents, expert opinion and any number of other elements which could influence the result in question. After this analysis, the bookies will be left with what they deem to be the most accurate possible true odds of any outcome occurring. As these factors are always shifting, the bookies’ odds will remain in flux.

I agree with KiiM being first, I think that we need a male ballader in the final and I think this is the one. There are some male soloists left in the pre-qualified acts but from what I’ve heard there won’t be a very similar act to this. The band being second is really wrong imo. I think either of those 2 in the bottom two are gonna be in the final duel if they don’t f up the performances ofc.

They aren’t off as how I see it. Most of the songs in the odds are based of the actual song, but Alt Det Der is probably based of the band considering that Norwegian people said that the band is very popular in Norway just like TIX.
