The iconic Eurovision pre-party Eurovision In Concert — which would have taken place this April — has again been postponed. It is the second year in a row that the event organisers have to postponed the event due to concerns around the coronavirus pandemic. The organisers have already announced a new date for the event on 9 April 2022.
Eurovision In Concert postponed again
Eurovision In Concert 2020 had been scheduled for 10 April 2020 at AFAS Live concert hall in Amsterdam. Following the Dutch government’s ban on events with an audience of more than 100, the 2020 concert was called off. Days later the event organisers announced a new date for the event in 2021.
However, in 2021 the COVID-19 pandemic is still gripping the world and there is still a strict lockdown in the Netherlands. For this reason, the Eurovision In Concert organisers have decided that holding the event on April 10 this year is not feasible.

“Unfortunately we’re obliged to postpone the 2021 edition of Eurovision in Concert as well. The team of Eurovision in Concert has investigated all possibilities to set up the 2021 edition, however the current Covid-19 pandemic still won’t allow us.
What will happen to Eurovision In Concert tickets?
Organisers have confirmed that tickets purchased for 2020 and 2021 will remain valid for the new date in 2022.
However, for ticketholders unsure if they’ll be able to attend Eurovision In Concert 2022, there will be an option to request a refund. The Eurovision In Concert website says that “Ticketmaster will send all ticket holders an email with all the info” regarding a refund.
Eurovision in Concert
Eurovision In Concert is a benchmark live event for fans and bookmakers and an excellent opportunity to take a good look at upcoming Eurovision competitors. It’s the first time many acts will perform their songs live and it can really set the pace for their Eurovision season.
In addition, there are often guest performances by well-known former participants such. The most recent edition in 2019 welcomed 28 acts from Eurovision 2019. They performed their tracks live in front of thousands of screaming Eurovision fans in AFAS Live in Amsterdam.
Eurovision in Concert is the largest and oldest preview party of the Eurovision Song Contest. Similar events are organized in other countries, but the annual party in the Netherlands is attended by the most fans.

Is “postponed” even the right word for it? I mean it’s an annual event, so it has actually been cancelled…
Expected but right decision, at least we have the contest going ahead this year, pre-parties are for 2022, I think we are going to live in most of 2021 as we lived in 2020. I also think that the EiC organizers should also invite the esc2020&2021 artists to perform in next years pre party
Can they hold an online concert session instead? I mean, if Spain can manage to do it, why can’t the Netherlands?
I would not pay €50 for that though.

Good question. As long as people believe everything that’s been told by the msm, this will continue for a couple of years. (although we can never blame people for this. If you’re not awake, you actually have no clue about whats going on. I really hope the pandemic will end by the end of 2021 so that we can really enjoy the Eurovision season as in those old goodtimes.
