It all comes down to this. On Saturday 6 March, 12 superstar acts will take to the stage in the grand final of Eesti Laul 2021, as they bid to become Estonia’s next Eurovision entry. Now, Estonian broadcaster ERR has published the running order of the final.
First to the stage is Egert Milder. Last year’s third alternate will kick off the final with his folk-pop track “Free Again”. The first half of the final also sees Suured tüdrukud, Hans Nayna, Ivo Linna, Robert Linna and Supernova and Karl Killing perform. The 2020 Eesti Laul champion and bookies’ favourite to win Uku Suviste will perform sixth.
The second half of the evening will see Sissi, Jüri Pootsmann, Redel, Koit Toome and Andrei Zevakin & Pluuto perform. Koit and Jüri are also big favourites to win with both the bookies and our readers — they both scored well in our Eesti Laul semi-final one and semi-final two polls. Kadri Voorand will close the night with her powerful piano number “Energy”.

Once all acts have performed, Estonia will engage in two rounds of voting — much like the semi-finals. Firstly, a 50/50 combination of jury votes and public votes will choose the top three acts. They will all perform their songs again in the superfinal. Then, their fate is in the hands of the Estonian people. The champion will be chosen by 100% public votes.
The winner of Eesti Laul will go on to represent Estonia at Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam, where they will perform in the first half of the second semi-final.

Kadri was so heavily underrated this year. I kinda hope either her, Jüri or Sissi make it but I have a very certain feeling that Uku is going to win. Not that his song is bad or anything by the way, I just prefer the aforementioned three.

The easiest choice for me to win Eesti Laul 2021 is Uku. I’m biased, and “The lucky one” is far better than “What love is” last year. Again, for the same reason that it sounds like CHVRCHES – “The mother we share”, but mixed with what sounds like what James Arthur would sing.
I hope so ! It sounds very interesting and it´s not typical for ESC and in Estonian language.
Uku performed 6th last year and also this year. Coincidence? Will last year be repeated?
Obviously, Koit, Uku or Juri are the favourites to get in the final three but, I think Kadri’s got a great spot in the running order to, maybe, take out Juri…if she wins the err..jury (haha).
Usually, the jury winner makes the superfinal, regardless of televote support so that also gives Sissi a chance of sneaking in too…depending on how the votes are spread.
Sissi was a televote choice, she was not in the jury top four (there were Kadri, Alabama, Jüri and Gram) and she was not announced as a top 4 50:50 qualifier. Yes, I know the jurors are usually different than those from the semifinals but still. Facts. I don’t think Jüri will miss out the top 3 cause he is so popular among both the televoting and the jurors. None of the Eesti Laul songs this year stand a chance at winning Eurovision. In terms of who I want to win, I want Uku to win given what happened last year but I would be fine with Koit Toome winning as well.
This show is gonna be interesting to predict. As far as I’m concerned, Estonia should pick Uku for this year (tho Eesti Laul is definitely one of those shows that can be unpredictable).Out of all the 12 songs I feel like ‘The Lucky One’ and ‘Wingman’ have the best shot in terms of qualifying. Koit might have a chance here, both with the juries and the televoters. His running order also helped a lot with his chances of getting into the superfinal.
If Koit were to win and appear in ESC 2021, I believe he would be the Estonian act with the most ever appearances at the Eurovision Song Contest (three). Maybe check it, but I think that would be right.

This actually turned out to be a pretty bad final overall, though it had the potential of being a great one… Unless Sissi wins this by a surprise i dont see Estonia in the final this year.

Earlier I said I didn’t like Kadri’s song but her live vocals completely changed my mind. I’d be happy if she won.
My favourite is kadri and I’m so happy she’ll close the show, but I still don’t think that’ll help her because some people find her song “boring” but u actually think it’s quite interesting and her vocals are beyond flawless. I’d be happy is jüri wins as he is my second favourite in the finals. Still really disappointed that gram-of-fun didn’t qualify….they 100% deserved to. Really hoping there isn’t a repeat of last year with uku winning just cuz all his stans vote for him, his song is nothing special at all
I think it really helps her. The song is a showstopper and it could distract from the favourites. She could do really well

Being in the middle he can stand out or drown. It’s a risky place to be if there’s no break before or after him.
The superfinals is likely between Uku, Koit and Juri. However, one or even two of them may surprisingly miss out. If that happens, it’s because either the audiences really pushed Wingman or because the juries really pushed Kadri.
Because the superfinals is 100% televote, I think that Uku will likely win, but Juri, Koit or Wingman guys could take it.
After the double disappointment of Gram-of-Fun having the worst vocals ever (I feel really sorry for her though) and thus their disqualification, I think my only favourites left in the contest are Suured tüdrukud and Kadri Voorand. I think they both have a shot for the superfinal, but I don’t see it that clear for victory. I liked Ivo and Robert Lina and Pluuto and Andrei Zevakin but their staging and vocals were kind of disappointing. kadri is so underrated. she is spectacular
She really is. But her song is not for me, sadly.
I think semi 2 generally had problems with bad staging. Only Kadri and Suured had great stage shows imo. It is not only Uku Suviste’s staging that needs to be fixed. Jüri’s wasn’t particularly great either. I’m only talking about visuals here. They are both great performers and singers.
I feel the one who would most deserve to win would be Koit
Wingman has a good spot in the running order really hope they win!

After Gram of Fun elimination, I have the feeling that it doesn’t matter who they choose, cause Estonia will most probably get stuck in the SFs (and with that taste they may deserve it tho). Karl Killing was my 2nd fav but I don’t know if he has any chances in May. Juri sounds good too and the staging is cool.
Just stay away from classic ballads. Hans Hayna has a voice but the song is bland, Uku just not, maybe Koit would be ok.

I would say Koit and Ivo Linna might push him hard for the win (mainly due to their fanbases) but literally everyone I follow on twitter is hyping him up! Dare I say, Uku is no longer the favorite?

This may not be as indicative in Estonia. Heleza – 6 is currently #4 – the second highest behind Jüri and she did not make the final. Spotify users tend to be younger, but Eesti Laul is watched by people of all ages.

Well Uku wasn’t in the top 4 of the semi so who knows + Koit and those backing vocal queens might do better in the televote than him. In the final I think we will se Juri for sure – great mix of televote and jury friendly, than Koit and I’d say even Kadri or Uku
He wasn’t in the top 4 of the juries, but i think the public put him first or second. So he is probably going to be one of the superfinalists. In the final the jury is international though, so never know.
yeah but if he gets like 2 points it can mean that he won’t qualify. And I kinda see Sissi, Juri, Egert, Hans, Koit, Kadri, Karl Killing all getting higher points than him – but yeah still, he will probably qualify – except if Koit gets the 12 points from televote than he is in danger.

Jüri’s performance has double the likes of Uku’s on the Eesti Laul YouTube channel. The like-dislike-ratio for “The Lucky One” isn’t great either, and the running order benefits Jüri and Koit more.
I would like Jüri or Koit to win over Uku, their songs seem more genuine and intriguing to me.

I agree but we saw it in Finland: Aksel deserved it too, his song was great (in my opinion). Now it’s a similar situation as in Finland – the last years performer is alright but I’m hoping for other acts to get to Eurovision, especially after we saw the live performances. I felt that Ukus staging was completely off, took the most amazing things out of his song and crashed it on the stage (literally). Therefore I do cross my fingers for other artists (Jüri, Kadri, Andrei & Pluuto and also partly Koit).
