The Eurovision 2021 playlist is nearly complete, with just a few countries left to reveal their songs for Rotterdam. Amidst the final few is the island nation of Malta — whose broadcaster TVM has been very quiet about its plans for Eurovision 2021. But finally, we have a date. Junior Eurovision 2015 champion Destiny will release her song for Rotterdam this coming Monday 15 March at 17:00 CET.
Malta’s Eurovision 2021 song coming on 15 March
The official Eurovision national selection calendar confirmed the date of the song reveal.
Often, there’s a plethora of glorious fanfare and countless teasers in the days surrounding a Eurovision song release. But Destiny and TVM remained somewhat quiet about their song reveal. Destiny herself is yet to release any teasers or official promotion, only confirming the news by sharing the posts of fans on her Instagram story.
However, eager-eyed Eurovision fans have been sleuthing. And some think they might have found a clue about Destiny’s Eurovision 2021 song.
This past Monday, the “All of My Love” singer took to Instagram to celebrate International Women’s Day, posting a series of photos featuring the women who inspire her. One of the photos features the caption “ladies, if you feel like flaunting tonight, it’s alright” — which some fans speculated could be a lyric from Malta’s Eurovision 2021 song.

Little is known about Malta’s selection process for 2021. Back in October 2020, Maltese broadcaster TVM opened submissions to find Destiny’s song for Rotterdam. But since then, they’ve remained hush.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see what Destiny delivers. Is Malta #DestinedForGreatness?
Destiny at Eurovision and beyond
Destiny is one of the biggest names in Malta’s music scene. She first found fame in 2015 after winning Junior Eurovision with her song “Not My Soul”. Then in 2017, she competed in the 11th series of Britain’s Got Talent, reaching the semi-finals. As well, she provided backing vocals for Malta’s Michela at Eurovision 2019.
Last year, Destiny won the second series of The X Factor Malta and earned the right to represent her country at Eurovision 2020. There, she was set to sing the gospel-pop anthem “All of My Love”. But soon after she revealed her track, the contest was cancelled. TVM later confirmed that Destiny would once again receive the Maltese ticket to Rotterdam.
What do you think Destiny’s song will sound like? Are you excited to hear it? Let us know in the comments below.
Amazing she is the winner
The best is yet to come! „All my Love“ was the song I was listening to for the longest time of all ESC 2020 songs even though I didn‘t like it much at the beginning. It was a big big grower. I know now that I won‘t judge her new song right at the beginning, but I have high expectations 😉
Why always the last minute?
I really thought the song was a letdown last year considering just WHO their vocalist is. Give her something good, please.
i’m more interested in knowing when she’ll make her song available on streaming. all of my love was released at the end of april ffs
Loved last year’s entry but didn’t think it was winner material — I think with the right track she has what it takes to get a win for Malta…the fans want it, the EBU wants it, the Maltese broadcaster and government want it…she can scoop up juri votes with the voice and televote with the right track…she just needs THE song
Isn’t the deadline on March 13th?
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. This is two days after the deadline unless it’s the day to submit your entry, not so much to publicly release it. Azerbaijan and Georgia need to hustle up their entries as well.
For reference the EBU submission date is private and delegations aren’t obligated to release the song AT ALL until the album drops, hence this wait 🙁
She thinks that she is teasing us with the delay and make us excited. Well, she is wrong. All the rest 39 songs will be released by then and we won’t really care about Malta. She must release it tomorrow! Malta, be smart, please.
Pretty sure she has nothing to say here. It’s broadcaster’s decision
A potential winner, I hope she lives up to her expectations!
Malta was in my top5 last year. I actually hope it’s winner material.
What about Azerbaijan and Georgia? Have I missed something? Any date?
I care so much about Destiny and Malta and have absolutely no idea why. I don’t know if it’s because Malta’s a small country and thus in my head an underdog! She’s also amazing!
well if you care about san marino…then that is the reason
San Marino is winning the small country underdog prize this year. Malta is massive compared to San Marino.
malta was my number 2 last year…could they go one better? i think so tbh
I still didn’t get any winner vibes this year. Malta and Azerbaijan are my hopes.
I have big expectations! Destiny is a great singer and her song was great last year.
We could use another potential winner so lets hope they provide.
It’s not even out, but I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be in my Top 10! <3
It’s the war between Malta and Azerbaijan to be the last to reveal their song but no chance maybe Belarus will present a new song on the 17th after EBU validation lol.
Please with a better Song than last year!
Her destiny is music!!!
Love from ?? to ??
I hope her song is a mix of Maltese and English. Malta has hardly shown its own language in the contest.
I mean English is also one of Maltas official languages and is widely spoken by a lot of people there as a first language…
yesss! maltese is such a beautiful language
I know that Kewkba was one of my favorite songs of all time, and I was very sad when it didn’t get chosen in I think 2017? Either way, it was beautiful, and needed at the contest!
She deserves a better song than last year.
Destiny is a great singer. She could well be a contender for victory. Hopefully they have given her a better song than last year.
Here’s hoping that the Maltese broadcaster has chosen a song by local songwriters. It would be the first time since 2017. Malta may be small, but there are still creative people on the island. They have already proven that at Eurovision: top 3s with homegrown songs in ’92, ’98, ’02 and ’05.
I hope she’s comes good .. would love to see a battle between Malta , Switzerland.
Destiny was my winner in JESC and in ESC so my hopes are very high!
Anything about Azerbaijan and Geeogia? The Cacasian stated remain silent about the release dates
no but efendi will sing mata hari
It is said that Azerbaijan will release their song on Monday as well, but no official News.
As for Georgia, no news either. It was just said that the song would be released in mid-March, but here we are..
Source?
Damn they really be leaving it to last minute.
