France 1310
Croatia 1307 votes
I call this a technical tie.

I see a lot of comments that are random about voting bias and so forth. I don’t deny that there are such biases. For me based on what I have seen it seems like Cyprus/Greece are the worst. Voting for each other no matter what the send. But It would also be interesting to know which country that votes closest to the actual result. Is it one country that have the taste of Europe more than others? And which country is the most random voting?

He is horrible singer and performer. And the song is just a medium. If eurovision is fair, Sweden will not qualify in final this year!

How is Eurovision 2021 shaping up?   Nordic countries: A very weak year – Iceland saves the day – Denmark and Norway plain embarrassing! Big 5 + host: Superb entry from France – pleasant surprise from the UK. Balkans, Greece, Cypros, Israel: Croatia ok, but terrible vocals – except that, nothing I want to listen to. Switzerland : Hyped rehash of Arcade. Russia: Huge disappointment! Eastern Europe: Already forgotten all of them – try to get into Bulgaria’s Billie Ellish entry and Romania – but it’s a no from me! Spain, Portugal: Ok. I actually like Portugal (although no one… Read more »

Kind of agree. Nordic countries clearly sinking their ships, eastern countries trying to do the exact same recipe, big 5 still and always not reeeeaally wanting to win… i don’t really get the comparison Gjons tears/duncan laurence. They feel so different to me. I hear duncan laurence on the radio and sing along. Not exactly the case with Gjons tears. But i get you on australia too. Guy sebastian was epic indeed.

The song is similar but his voice is something extra. Much more interesting than Duncan. However it is not common that two songs so much alike will win in a row. The performance is of course important. I guess to much alike last win will be hard to win.

Guys, Stefania may be Greek in origin but she was born and raised in the Netherlands. She’s more famous there than she is in Greece and she has a significant fanbase there. Has it even crossed your minds that it’s not Greeks that have voted for her song but her Dutch fanbase? A lot of Greeks don’t even like the song, just chill out and stop complaining when you don’t like the results.

I think my top 10 is so different to everyone else’s. I like some of the songs that other people seem to dislike. But thats okay because the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same music. 10) Romania (this has slowly grown on me to move in to my top 10). 09) Lithuania (slipping down my top 10 but still hanging in there) 08) Ukraine (still living this one!) 07) Portugal (this is a quality song, well produced but overlooked because its slow. What a voice). 06) Iceland (I actually enjoy this although not as… Read more »

So true, Go_A and Shum are amazing. But you know, they’re from Eastern Europe and the song is not in English, so it’s “weird” and not the general cup of tea – people want “different”, but within the realm of cookie-cutter safe Western-pop in English or perhaps French. :))

People said/predicted Netherlands 2019 was going to win like that.. and it didn’t win televote or jury. Switzerland 2021 might follow that tho. But it’s not on the Portugal 2017 territory imo

If Arcade won by default without winning televote or jury.. It might/could happen again because that’s the voting system we have. And juries and televote agree everytime less. That’s where we are but Eurovision always have some surprise

I do agree that France or Switzerland can win this year. BUT I also have a big feeling it will end up being Italy. Eurovision needs something new something fresh. Something more up beat this year. I almost have no doubts they will win or be second with people votes. It is really up to jury if they can appreciate this type of music. San Marino will not win. Even though they will be very high with ppl votes, there is no way it will reach top 5 with the jury. France and Switzerland will be high with the jury… Read more »

Even though I think Switzerland and France will have big chances to win, I have a feeling that we will get a “surprise” winner this year. I can imagine San Marino or Italy to be it … San Marino has a great song and people want to see San Marino win for the first time. Also Italy is always a big contender, but only a few people would expect them to win this year as they got a rock song. But maybe they will have the “Lordi-effect” and finally get their deserved win for years with this kind of song…… Read more »

The fact is that always the same countries MUST be in the final like Sweden, Norway, Australia, Russia and even Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Malta. It is all about power and politics. Not always those countries are sending good song. For example this year Sweden, Australia, Russia and Norway are not deserving FINAL at all. Unfortunately because of all of that what I just mentioned, countries who are actually much better this year then others in 1 semifinal like Croatia, Irleand, Israel and even Ukraine will not go through final. I hope so that I’m wrong but I’m almost sure that… Read more »
