The club of 18 Bulgarian voters award ten points to Switzerland’s Gjon’s Tears. Another high mark for “Tout l’univers” sees Gjon extend his lead. Meanwhile, eight points goes to France’s Barbara Pravi — who currently sits in fourth place overall with “Voilà”.
Further down the scoreboard, Serbia and Russia picked up their first points of the season.

What do you think? Will Switzerland maintain its lead? Who will win the OGAE Poll 2021? Let us know in the comments below.
Remember how in 2019 no one voted for Zero Gravity? The “fans” have no taste.
bruh
The votes suggest and interesting Eurovision contest! Can’t wait! ?
None of the the Nordics have voted , Iceland , Finland is fine.
None of the Balkans have voted , Greece and Bulgaria will be fine too.
Bulgaria IS in the Balkans
Bulgaria is the Balkan. The mountain is in Bulgaria 😀
Bulgaria can’t vote for Bulgaria.
ogays don’t really do neighbor voting tho
Many of these OGAE clubs would need to get new people joining in, as there are quite a few clubs that are under 20 members. If these get smaller and smaller, they’ll eventually go under the “Rest of the world” -club.
Anyway, once again: these results are from 18 people, so the actual votes in Eurovision might be somewhat different.
This would only be indicative if they voted on 26 entrants. With this poll you have votes for entrants that won’t ever compete against each other (not everyone is going to make the grand final)
And if they voted only for their favourites . Here they give 4 points to their 7th favourite. Never seen a person vote for their 7th favourite in the contest
That’s a huge fall from grace for Dadi so far. Despite all the complaints about ’10 Years’, I thought there’d still be massive love for him out there.
I believe there is, it’s just that people can only give a certain amount of points. For example, I’ve seen my favourite songs on reaction videos fall just outside top 10. People saying they loved particular songs, but just loved others a bit more.
Why would there still be hype around a way worse song? It would be fake.
If some OGAE members hate ”10 years” it doesn’t mean that the other millions will hate on it. There are plenty of examples that OGAE voting is totally different from the Eurovision voting. Also, they are voting based on studio versions, not based on live performances
The Roop is Vitas-wannabe search him on youtube and France is boring and outdated.
The high level of originality of these “arguments” is impressive!
I doubt he knows who Vitas even is tbh. Lithuania hates Russian artists, why would he want to be like someone they despise. They completely banned Kirkorov just recently. You’re making no sense here, (probably) Russian guy.
I say it again easteurope woits for easteurope.
Scandinavians and Baltics for each other too…
It’s almost like they have similarities within themselves, in culture, language etc. :-/ How could this have happened!
While Greece and Cyprus dont, that’s why they get booed!
The songs have similarities. Where is an ethnic song from the north…so then to understand the vote ? When we talk about generic pop songs…then the vote is based on neighborhood criteria. The same is happening for east and balkans countries.
Oh no I’m turning into one of those people who complain about other people complaining but every one of these OGAE articles are filled with comments saying the results are unreliable or the taste of the voters is trash etc. But if you “don’t care” or think the OGAE polls are unnecessary then why do you read the articles? And more importantly why waste your time by commenting these polls are stupid? If they don’t mean anything then why get so angry? For me it wouldn’t be eurovision if at least 50% of the top 10 most popular songs weren’t… Read more »
Where can I place my bets on Italy beating Malta in the televote by a mile? Italy’s way more impactful and has insane staging potential. I hope I won’t have to eat my words come May, lol
I strongly recommend you not to do that if you don’t want to waste your money.
Easy bet, Malta is 100% fake hype. 4.1 M Youtube views and only 39K likes lmao. I remember Arcade was something more than 100K likes when it had 4M in 2019. Croatia has even more likes 40K with 2.3 Millions views. So it’s easy to say Malta has bought something like 2 millions views and placing high amounts of bets to increase their odds. Malta is not even in the top 5 most bet songs lol.
No Many people press on like button
Don’t waste your money
If you said only that Malta would flop in televoters I agree. About Italy beating Malta by a big margin I’m not so sure. Well, their song alongside Russia and Serbia are the most viewed actually, but those views are mostly from Italians. So I don’t know how much people love powerful songs like that. For example, I have this in my top 10 currently cause it’s lit
It’s a rock song in Italian. It’s not a safe choice. Either will flop or it will go to the top.
It’s an open year without a clear favourite, so the staging will define everything. (that’s how Azerbaijan won in 2011)!
That’s exactly what Italy deserves.
Finally some points for Italy. Nice !
OGAE drama all the way but they never represent accurately public taste so who cares..
Well I agree about most of the Bulgarian OGAE votings. It would be interesting to see the other places, like Romania, Greece and Iceland, which are now so underrated (well, yet 5 countries have voted)
Do not expect dramatic changes. All ogaes will vote exactly with the same manner.
People please calm down, OGAE is just for fun.
Like, I feel like I’m going crazy, because I’ve agreed with most of the OGAE voting this year. Thing is, I can’t use any of these as a backup just in case for Second Opinion because we just announced our qualifiers and a song that’s been doing well here so far didn’t actually make our final.
This isn’t a spoiler because we revealed our qualifiers on Thursday: Cyprus didn’t make the cut, believe it or not. It was a super-close voting, and all but two songs in the first semi didn’t get at least one top mark. Cyprus I believe finished 11th, with only a few points separating it from Lithuania in 10th (yes, Lithuania only finished 10th…it was polarizing as a magnet for the countries that voted in the first semi, but I have no doubt it’ll kill in the final.)
Seeing the downvotes reminds me why I don’t comment here so often anymore
Can you pls post the full results?
Lithuania borderline and Cyprus out would be really good for me in the real contest and actually I think it’s not that unlikley, maybe Lithuania will be higher, yes, but not as much as people think and Cyprus may be the surprising NQ
I don’t want Lithuania borderline for real, but what the hey. I hadn’t planned on revealing the results until after the final, but here you go: Malta – 173 Israel – 142 Azerbaijan – 128 Sweden – 115 Slovenia – 110 Russia – 108 Australia – 104 Ukraine – 102 Romania – 102 Lithuania – 100 Cyprus – 87 North Macedonia – 86 Norway – 79 Ireland – 68 Croatia – 67 Belgium – 53 And in the second semi: Switzerland – 235 Iceland – 163 Greece – 144 Finland – 118 Bulgaria – 109 Portugal – 107 Estonia –… Read more »

Belgium last really breaks my heart, I think they are going to qualify in the real contest, but the rest of the results ade really really good imo
Belgium and Norway were the only songs in the first semi that didn’t get at least one top score. I was really sad Belgium and Ireland didn’t make it – I’d prefer them over Slovenia and Azerbaijan personally.
I’d also like for Israel to do that well – I updated the playlist our jurors were using with the revamp, and both pre- and post-revamp it scored very very well.
The second semi final results are incredibly tasteful imo, I would only change Estonia with Georgia, while in the first semi I would change Malta, Lithuania, Australia and Azerbaijan with Belgium (my winner of the semi), Norway, North Macedonia and Ireland
Well, interesting results, but I feel that many ballads are reaching the final from nowhere, like Slovenia, Portugal and Estonia. Even though they are not bad songs I really hope they don’t reach the finals, cause otherwise we gonna lose some good bops (actually, only Poland, Czech Republic and Denmark got few points)
I would like Portugal to make it, personally, and I was delighted that they did way better than I expected. I think so far this is a cautionary tale: if you think only bops are going to make it, you’re in for a shock. (And the jurors are a mix of music professionals and Eurofans so it’s pretty 50-50).
I go two for two: I’d take Ireland and Belgium over Azerbaijan and Slovenia, and the Czech Republic and Denmark over Austria and Estonia, but for the sake of Second Opinion, this is what we’re working with.
Yeah that makes sense. I expect at least one bop from each semi to flop (mostly Ireland and Australia, even though now I feel that Azerbaijani song isn’t that impactful so who knows, from the second semi 100% Latvia and Poland, they might even be joined by Czech Republic or Moldova)
Azeris…have the Turkish diaspora behind them…sure qualifier and top 10 in televoting although the song (?) is awful
Having Turkish diaspora behind doesn’t mean that those will vote for any song from Azerbaijan. If it’s a good song, it will take points, if not, it won’t. And tbh, Mata Hari has a catchy beat with fake Turkish Elements (so that they say that the song is an ethno bob, I cannot put the song in the same category with Dum Tek Tek or Always), so I don’t expect diaspora will support it (unless they like the song a lot). Even in 2019, Chingiz got a good result not because of the diaspora, but because he had a good… Read more »
Azerbaijan did way better in 2019 than they usually do with Western countries. Takes a special kind of Eastern entry to get really good scores from countries like the UK and Sweden (they would’ve gotten the UK’s 12 in the semi under the old system!)
These are votes in the UK OGAE Club ?
Nope! They’re a personal project I’m doing with a jury panel.
I’m Bulgarian and my top 3 are the exact same countries in the exact same order.
Kinda spooky! It makes me happy.
Oh boy, seeing Iceland and Greece so far down and Belgium with 0 points hurts me physically. At least we know the OGAE results are never accurate
Edit: On the plus side, Måneskin, Gjon, the Roop and Senhit really deserve to be that high!
Don’t worry I will be giving them some points!
Ok it’s cool for them to be that high but what does it means? The others don’t deserve it too? Clearly again Malta, France and Cyprus are the targets here, again and again….
agree with iceland, greece, belgium, maneskin and senhit
disagree with the roop and gjon
but ogae is just for fun idk why some ppl are being so toxic about the results
I thought OGAE polls were irrelevant and inacurrate…
Why can I see the Malta bubble bursting every day, yikes.
Good job Bulgaria!! Måneskin deserved it!!!
Now I think it’s time for Bulgaria to get some points, so underrated! 🙁
Yaaaay Bulgaria has good taste!!
Well… Bulgarians have some taste
Fingers crossed for San Marino
Roxen and Romania deserve much better.
Do we get a new article for every OGAE result? What about Wiwi-Jury this year – in which I would be more interested than in the predictable OGAE votes?
Our first Wiwi Jury video and post is coming VERY soon. Stay tuned next week…!
i know that this has probably been said a million times before but damn it its relevant. there is no reason to follow or use OGAE voting as a way to predict the contest result, as there is no diversity within the groups and aren’t accurate to jury results either as they are not music industry professionals but just fans
It is not a representative sample, yet the results are indicative and give some insights.
Finally a 12 to anyone else ,not overrated baloon (Switzerland)
6 points for Malta is still overrated
Switzerland is the biggest baloon i can’t see the others thanks to it 😀
OK Doris we know you hate Malta.
We know you hate Malta but we don’t hate your country Doris
