Eurovision 2021 Grand Final Acts

The Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence sang his way to victory at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv. And now, two years later, it’s almost time to discover his successor. The bookies have their favourites—you can check out the latest odds here — but who do you want to see walk away with the microphone-shaped trophy at Eurovision 2021? After two spectacular semi-finals, we’re left with 26 contenders.

Who will win Eurovision 2021?

Can Jeangu Macrooy make it a double for the Dutch? Can Iceland’s Daði og Gagnamagnið live up to their 2020 hype? Is Gjon’s Tears on the verge of bringing Switzerland its first win since Céline Dion? Can Senhit ride the coattails of Flo Rida’s celebrity? Or could Destiny give Malta its first victory?

We’ve got a lot of questions, and we need y’all to help give us some answers.

You can watch all 26 Eurovision finalists in the recap below. Then vote in our poll. You can vote for as many contestants as you like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to check the box next to every act you want to support before submitting your votes. Voting ends just before Saturday’s final.

Twenty-six songs. Twenty-six countries. One winner. Who will win Eurovision 2021? Who should win Eurovision 2021? Start voting now!

I’m really hoping for a surprise winner this year: Ukraine, Lithuania, Iceland or even Cyprus! It’d be refreshing. I like Switzerland too. I just don’t get the hype with France (too voilá and edith piaf-ish), Italy (I don’t like rock music) or Malta (nice song, great singer, messy concept). But anyway, the level is so high – everyone’s great this year. And we deserve an amazing final after two years without our favourite show! Good luck everyone

I really hope it is Malta because our country wants to host ESC for the first time. Destiny is an amazing singer and she is giving it all. Song is fun and colourful, something Europe need during these pandemic times. If it doesn’t win, I would be happy as well because Destiny gave her best in every performance. Enjoy the final and long live Eurovision. Good luck to all participants xxx

France should win the jury vote and Italy should win the televote. I’m guessing Italy would win overall as France coming after Ukraine would hurt their televote slightly and the lead in their jury vote over Italy will not be enough.
On a side note, there should be a new rule where a country cannot be placed in the same spot for 2 consecutive contests, it’s very unfair for Albania to have to perform 2nd in 2019 and again this year.

Inplausible is nothing, as the ad says. No one had seen Jamala coming near or far in 2016, and there are plenty of other examples like that. All I hope is not to relive the nightmare with Amina in 1991; if Maneskin or Gjon wins (and it would be deserved), thank you for putting Barbara second and not ex aequo first, I will suffer less. But yes, I keep Stefiana on the list of possible winners (and otherwise in the top 10).And for me, betting is windy. They’re walking on sonar, these guys, but they wouldn’t see an elephant coming… Read more »

Can’t believe that Destiny ‘s manager is winging and winning coz she is singing 6th. He wants special treatment for her by the looks of it. Apart from loads of Facebook posts asking the maltese to vote with their head and not for the best song is really unfair and making me sick. They are instructing people NOT to vote for Italy or France because they are the favourites according to the bookies. Disgusting attitude from the Maltese! No way would I vote for Malta after this.

So much biased comments especially towards the UK. If this song was Italy or Sweden you would all be wetting your pants and foaming at the mouth just like some are with Italy and France. Get a grip!! The thing is the U.K. does not need to prove itself when it comes to music and most of us Brits see Eurovision as a silly contest we can all laugh at, outside of Eurovision we have alongside USA shaped popular music. Which legacy would you prefer a few wins at some camp, political (sorry but it is, hate towards U.K as… Read more »

Thanks, it just confirms some peoples prejudice towards the U.K. and I laugh at how some people are so deluded how they talk about Eurovision like it’s something to be taken seriously. When did Eurovision last produce any smash hit that crossed over internationally especially the US. Let me see, oh yes 1996 Gina G last Eurovision song to enter billboard top 100 and was a top 20 hit. And which country was responsible oh yes the UK. I would love anyone on here who can keep a straight face and provide arguments to counter what I have said. They… Read more »

I wish we got an “out-of-nowhere” winner.

Bulgaria maybe (as she dropped so low in the odds), San Marino, or even Portugal. I kind of like Love Is On My Side from the very beginning but I’m pretty amazed that they could pull such a simple yet glorious staging.

Let’s just enjoy the show, anyway. This is by far the most unpredictable GF since I first watched Eurovision back in 2014.

France, Italy, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine were my big favorites since before the rehearsals (along with Romania, the lonely casualty) and still are the countries I’m rooting for. Italy and Ukraine would make me especially satisfied, in terms of opening new horizons for the contest.

But Switzerland would be a very respectable winner too. And an Icelandic win would put a big smile on my face. I’ll be also rooting for Belgium, Bulgaria, Netherlands and Portugal to do well.

Who are your biggest growers and biggest decliners after the live performances? 🙂
I would like to share lists again after it’s all over, but I already have some major shifts. Portugal, Russia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, North Macedonia, perhaps Malta will benefit from my new ranking. Romania, Czech Republic, Ireland, Georgia, Israel, perhaps Moldova will likely not. Even so, I still love the first two, so the new ratings will still be good.

Portugal was definitely my biggest grower. The song went from a borderline qualifier in the semi-final of Festival da Canção to possibly getting to the left side of the scoreboard on my personal ranking of the final. It’s a HUGE leap. The staging was very clever, it accentuated its strenghts and, by separating it in 2 different acts, made it a very enjoyable watch. Belgium is also a grower in my books. As usual, some bops grew on me with the stage performance, especially Croatia. But also Azerbaijan and Cyprus that aren’t objectively great songs, but have entertaining performances. I… Read more »

I haven’t listed San Marino as grower because it was already my favorite bop in the competition. It flows so perfectly, which rarely happens to my ears when a pop song has a rap part. It’s also great how comfortable Senhit is on the stage. She’s having fun, Flo Rida is having fun, it’s hard not to have fun with them. But I should had add Serbia to my list of growers, thanks for reminding me about it. 🙂 It’s also not my kind of music, but it’s flawless for what they are intending to do. And the live vocals… Read more »

I will sadly be the third one to state the similar thing about the UK. I like James, and the song is perfectly decent. But it really falls in the background. For my ranking, I much preferred Bigger Than Us, because it had a stronger hook, and the video surprisingly drew out an emotional story. Still, for UK’s sake, I really hope he doesn’t finish last again (IMHO, it should easily be Israel (sorry, Eden), but I doubt it). And Serbia – Yes, it grew on me too. I mean, as much as this type of music can. The trio… Read more »

Natalia performed the worst out of three. I guess that her breathy vocal didn’t bother me *as much* because it added to the atmosphere of… umm… well… you know…… Read more »
