Almost a month after the semi-final aired, we’re back in Romania for the Selecția Națională 2022 grand final. We started with 45 acts in the online stage. This became 20 for the semi, and now only ten remain.

This final will see ten acts perform:
- Alex Parker & Bastien – “Best Of Me”
- Andrei Petruş – “Take Me”
- Claudia, Minodora, Diana – “România mea”
- Dora Gaitanovici – “Ana”
- Gabriel Basco – “One Night”
- Kyrie Mendél – “Hurricane”
- MOISE – “Guilty”
- Petra – “Ireligios”
- VANU – “Never Give Up”
- WRS – “Llámame”
The winner of will be decided determined by 5/6 jury and 1/6 televote. There will also be interval performances from several Eurovision 2022 acts from other countries:
- Albania’s Ronela Hajati
- Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project
- Czech Republic’s We Are Domi
- Estonia’s Stefan
- Moldova’s Zdob și Zdub
- Montenegro’s Vladana
- North Macedonia’s Andrea
Ukraine’s Eurovision 2016 winner Jamala will also perform “1944” having fled Ukraine due to the Russian invasion.

Of course I’m watching as I did every year since 2013. I have become a fan of Selectia Nationala before becoming a fan of Eurovision.
i will watch just for the mess and before the French selection show begins. Good luck Romania.

Interval acts lineup is impressive!
Probably more impressive than the actual Contestants.
If TVR wants Eurovision to be more popular in Romania, one of the first steps should be to change the voting system and let the people have more power. Thought they would have learned after 2019 that letting one juror decide as much as the outcome as the entire Romanian public is not the way to go (and I actually loved On a Sunday)
giving more power to the public is not going to increase the public interest. Getting successful results will do but in order to get success they need to work harder for better songs and talented artists… Roxen had great songs in 2020 but they were unlucky and the show was cancelled..
