The official music video for her Eurovision 2022 entry “Die Together” helped seal her place as a fan favourite. Now — with the release of an acoustic version of the song — Amanda Tenfjord is sealing her place in their hearts.

Greece’s ESC 2022 star performs the number with the choir from her medical school NTNU — that’s Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet. The aspiring doctor channels even more emotion as she performs alongside her classmates. Perfect harmony!

Speaking to Greece’s Gala magazine, Amanda explained how she’s combining her musical interests with her medical ambitions.

“I want to become a doctor that sings,” she said of working in a hospital during the pandemic.

“I worked at the hospital this summer, in the emergency room, and I felt the intense pressure,” she said. “I have a lot of friends who work as doctors and nurses now and the pressure is huge with long working hours and high stress.”

Speaking of her Eurovision 2022 entry, which won a competitive internal selection process, she said it was born of heartache and Eurovision was not on her mind when she wrote it. It was, instead, a song she wrote to express her emotions following her first serious relationship. It is her favourite of anything she’s ever written.

What do you think of Amanda’s acoustic version? Are you falling even further in love? Let us know in the comments box below!

Too boring song and the feelings of this song ara a bit depressive. i love Greece and the songs that they sent other years but dont like this one and this style that can represent any other country nothing different as heard before. For balads this year I go for UK, Azerbajan or North Macedonia

The Azerbaijan ballad especially this year represents their musical tradition perfectly and accurately and faithfully. The Azerbaijani traditional music, in fact, is full of such ballads.

Which country is she representing? She’s not Greek, she doesn’t live in Greece, the song has nothing to do with Greece, and even this one is with Norwegian doctors-to-be.

She is half greek. She spends lots of time in greece (as she should cause our country is f beautiful) she speaks Greek The stage director is greek. The final producing was done by a greek. And the dress will be created by a greek designer

Since when does the representative of a country has to be from the country they’re representing? From what I can remember Celine Dion wasn’t Swiss when she won for Switzerland…

Only one Nikos can execute this demanding role and this is Monsieur Nikos Aliagas. But Kapoutzidis and Makripoulia would be great too.

Many performers are doing new videos and thought out staging after seeing Konstrakta’s performance. After two years of pandemic nothing is the same, but many artists won with songs that have cliche themes. I think that various productions are trying to make them more contemporary.

She has proven she has the voice to pull this song off. It’s a masterpiece. For me, this is the dark horse of the competition.

Until now, none of them has disappointed me.

I agree but i wouldn’t exclude Poland from the race cause it’s really a strong contender for winning jury.

Haven’t listened to beautiful Amanda sing this live yet but just reading the comments right here FILLS ME WITH SO MUCH JOY! Thanks to our extremely talented half-Greek, half-Norwegian sweetheart of an artist, we can finally dream for big things after more than a decade in this contest! <3

I´ve placed more than one bet on Greece – can´t believe the high odds.
Terribly underrated. Should be up ap the top together with Ukraine, Italy and Sweden.
I hope the viewers vote for it, cause if they do, it´s Athens 2023.

What I will say is that her vocal is great and the layering of the different voices us really clever and helps to organically create that synthesized studio sound. I really enjoyed it. I don’t really connect to the lyric but credit where it’s due this is very well done.

Honestly for the staging if she had 5 choir members singing live with her instead of backing track, I think it would not only sound better but have a much larger impact on the Juries (and televote to an extent). Plus it is nice to hear her life and much more clearer than the studio version

Although I think that this lacks the big mainstream appeal some other entries have, nothing touches Greece in terms of quality this year. Not Sweden, not UK, not Spain, not Ukraine. Wont be surprised if shes the jury winner this year.

For me, Sweden and Spain are among my top choices to win, although they are very different from each other and Greece. I personally don’t see the hype around UK. I like the entry from Ukraine, and although it will likely win the televote by a landslide, I don’t think it deserve to be a winner. Top 10 yes, maybe even top 5 or top 3, but not to win it all.
