Forty countries will sing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Twenty will advance from the two semi-finals, while another five — France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom — will join them in the final. But amid all the music and all the strong voices, who will come out on top?

Before rehearsals start in Turin we want to know: Who do you think will win Eurovision 2022? Before making your decision, you can review their pre-party performances in Barcelona, London, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam and Madrid by heading over to our YouTube channel. Then let us know which acts you think are in contention by voting in our poll.

You can vote for as many countries as you’d like, but you can only submit your votes one time. Let the world know what you’re thinking by commenting in the comments box at the end of this post.

It’s up to you, Europe! Start voting now!

We will close this poll just before first rehearsals start in Turin.

Poll: Who will win Eurovision 2022?

As you’re well aware, the results of the Eurovision Song Contest are determined by a 50/50 jury-televote split. The votes of professional jury members don’t always align with the preferences of the public.

In recent years the overall Eurovision winner has not won both segments of the vote. In 2021, Italy’s Måneskin topped the televote, but only placed fourth with the jury. While in 2019 The Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence won neither — placing third with the jury and second with the public. It was a similar story for Israel’s Netta in 2018 — first with the public, third with the jury. Portugal’s Salvador Sobral was the last Eurovision winner to win both segments of the vote.

Who do you WANT to win Eurovision 2022? And who do you think WILL win? And what about the public-televote split? Let us know what you’re thinking down below.

I think Serbia has potential of winning this year, and it would be very deserved! such uniqueness has never been seen in Eurovision. Im rooting all the way for Konstrakta and will vote for her tomorrow in the grand final.

I think it is hilarious how people still think Eurovision has anything to do with the actual acts :))) Eurovison scoring has been a biased political affair for years and this year wil be no different. Ukrain will win eurovision by a mile because of ‘show of support’ with regards to the War. Plain and simple

I think it’ll ultimately come down to Italy and Sweden. As much as I think it would be great to see Ukraine win, I sadly don’t see juries backing them as much as others. I think the UK can spoil here too. Three weeks to go!

In 15 days, Maro released 3 pieces of art. I don’t remember a candidate for the ESC who did it so close to the show… And I also don’t remember so many covers, so many video reactions and especially so much praise from the musicians to a song from Eurovision… Quincy Jones, Jacob Collier, Pablo Alborán, Teresa Salgueiro (Madredeus), Luísa and Salvador Sobral, Ivan Lins, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Rose Linn (Armenia)… And many others from classical and jazz to hard rock.

Sweden and Italy have shot ahead as favourites, but ultimately it will come down to UK and Greece – one of those two will be the Maneskin of this year, get loads of momentum and win. Greece have staging, UK have TikTok.

I’m waiting for the rehearsals. No songs that are going to lock up the jury vote. So it may come down to who brings the magic to the Turin stage, and builds momentum out of rehearsals, like Portugal 2017.

Israel – I’m not even joking, Michael gave some spoilers in an interview he has about the Eurovision, he said it would be something very very special and dramatic, it’s not about the dancing and the fireworks, it’s going to be something amazing! “Very Cinematic” he said a few more things but I will not tell, what I can say is that he is going to be the dark horse of the year. I am so excited.

Read more »

I think it will be between Ukraine and Sweden, with the first winning the televote by landside and the second doing very good in both. Closing the top 5 I’d say Poland, Netherlands, Italy and Norway will fight for those spots.
On the other hand, I am Spanish but being realistic I think Chanel will place around 8th-10th place (which would be a huge step forward from previous years).
Other contenders for the top 10 will be UK, Serbia and Maybe Portugal?

Overall, this is a very open year and anything could happen in the end!

I don’t know but I hope that Norway bombs and doesn’t even make it into the final. Songs like these are exactly the reason why no one takes Eurovision serious and why it has such an terrible reputation. The last few years have been good and the quality of the show has gone up. Norway would ruin the momentum. It’s 2022. Take the contest serious. It’s not even that they’re a troll act. The song is just bad and outdated.

I really wonder how the jury voting would be 🙂 As we know, there are some countries whose juries never give any jury points to specific countries. For instance interesting fact but Denmark, Ireland and UK are the countries whose juries never gave any points to Italy since 2015 and I wonder whether they would give some points to Italy.

I’m from the UK and I loved Soldi, Zitti e Buoni, and especially Brividi – just because a jury doesn’t give something points doesn’t mean they’re basic. The Italian songs aren’t high art or anything.

I would be totally okay with The Netherlands winning the whole thing as a fellow commentator states bellow. It’s one of my fav songs. However, I don’t really think it can appeal to a wider audience and, even if the Dutch language gives it a little extra thing for the fans it also limits its “portability” to wider radio audiences or foreign markets. There isn’t a clear favourite as other years (maybe Ukraine), at least judging by the way that I see it. Not even on the betting odds (again, if one doesn’t count Ukraine). Sweden and Italy has that… Read more »

I like to follow my instict when it comes to predicting the winner. From the first moment I felt that it’s gonna be Netherlands. France also ticks the boxes for me, although I need to see how it comes together on the ESC stage, because I’m not convinced yet. Poland is the third one that I can see going all the way. Ukraine will get a lot of sympathy votes, but it doesn’t “feel” like a winner. Finally, I’m pretty sure it’s not gonna be Italy, Sweden, Spain or United Kingdom, for different reasons each one.
