If you say “Hola mi bebebé”… we’ll respond with “Ela”! That’s because two of our favourite stars from Eurovision 2022 — Romania’s wrs and Cyprus’ Andromache — have come together to release “If You Were Alone / Sta matia sou”.

Here’s how they describe the collab and music video in a press release sent to Wiwibloggs:

“If you were alone / Sta matia sou” is a sensitive track with Greek influences that take you on the big waves of love which you can hardly handle. After more than five years since Romania’s last qualification in the final of the biggest music competition in Europe, all the bad luck was broken by wrs who proved that he is an artist who possesses all the necessary qualities of an international star: dancing skills, stage presence and charisma.”

The music video was shot in Santorini by Paul Moldovan and edited by wrs, while the music was composed by wrs, Cezar Guna and Costel Dominteanu (DOMINO). The English part of the song was written by wrs, Cezar Guna and Andromache, while the Greek lyrics come from Vasilis Koumentakos. DOMINO produced the track as well.

If You Were Alone / Sta matia sou (wrs x Andromache)

wrs says he was drawn to the Greek star from the moment he heard her entry for Eurovision 2022.

“Andromache and I both went through the Eurovision experience together, an experience that changed our lives in such a beautiful way. For the first time since I’ve heard the song ‘Ela’ I knew clearly that we would collaborate one day, and this day is finally here. ‘If you were alone / Sta matia sou’ perfectly combines the deep-house style that I tried to shape over time with the Greek rhythms and the sensitive and so perfect voice of Andromache. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”

It takes two to tango and Andromache was more than ready to dance with the Romanian star following their shared journey to Turin.

“I’m so happy we released this beautiful song together with Andrei!” she says. “He is an amazing artist and a super cool person, so kindhearted! We had so much fun shooting the music video in Santorini! Great memories.”

I think it’s ok. Surprisingly similar to “Hola Mi Bebebe” structurally.

This song would never be played in my country it’s bland and boring. Anyone who thinks it’s a good chillout ‘dance track’ hasn’t heard music before.

that’s what I was telling everyone, but they keep claiming that I’m a hater, like can they clean their ears and listen instead justifying listening because they happened to be good looking TF!

For all of you down voted you need to check your hearing, you’re apparently tone deaf.

She can not sing live. What would you expect from a dancer turned singer overnight and an autotune girl?
