The Benelux trio are all together again at Eurovision for the first time in 30 years.

There’s nothing like a little neighbourly rivalry to spur each other on to greatness. So we asked you to vote for your favourite act from Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

You responded with 3,871 votes. We’ve counted and verified them, and now it’s time to reveal all.

Netherlands’ Joost Klein is a favourite of the Benelux acts at Eurovision 2024

Topping the poll with a very large margin is Joost Klein. The Dutch singer ran away with the votes for his catchy entry “Europapa”, picking up just over 60% of all those cast. Having failed to qualify for the grand final in 2023, the Netherlands are looking to come back with a bang in 2024 — and based on these results, it looks like they’re succeeding.

The silver medal in this battle is awarded to Belgium’s Mustii. His entry “Before the Party’s Over” was able to secure a quarter of the vote, which is just over 1,000 votes in total.

In third place we find returnees Luxembourg. The nation are staging their big comeback to the contest after being away for three decades. TALI will take on the honour of representing the nation with the song “Fighter”. In this poll, she earned 422 votes (10.9%).

Full results: Which Benelux nation has the best entry at Eurovision 2024?

  1. Netherlands: Joost Klein – “Europapa” | 61.61%, 2,385 votes
  2. Belgium: Mustii – “Before the Party’s Over” | 27.49%, 1,064 votes
  3. Luxembourg: TALI – “Fighter” | 10.90%, 422 votes

Total Votes: 3,871

Is Joost Klein also your #1 of the Benelux nations at Eurovision 2024? Do you think all three of them can make it to the grand final? Let us know in the comments below.

The Netherlands stands a real good chance of winning. It should be top 5 anyway, this is a good formula for televoters.

I mean even I understand this even though I’m not into Joost’s song at all. But the Belgian guy is killing himself so hard with every single performance he gives, there’s basically only Joost left to choose.

Netherlands- not my cup of tea, can see why people like it. Not a winner but should do well.

Luxembourg – my fave out of Benelux. Hits in all the right places for me and the revamp really works.

Belgium – just entirely awful. Can’t sing it live and will likely have poor staging given Belgiums usual track record with staging. The last time they did it right was with Loïc Nottet in 2015, so no hopes there.

Has anyone noticed on Instagram that Joost is now following 4 people?
3 will appear on stage with him and Kaarija. Will rumor be right that kaarija is the 4th on stage.
Plus I’m calling real life hologram of his parents at the end. Just so you know

Wow, that would be wild in all sorts of ways to see Kaarija back on stage. If he’s a backing dancer for Joost, the reaction will insane, and he’s got to be an even stronger bet for televote winner if that’s happening.

That will be literally a blatan try of winning. Using kaarija as a token on stage.

Joost uses cultural references all the time. Also in this song and video. The fact that you don’t recognize them is not his fault 🙂 Having Käärijä there on stage wouldn’t be a “blatant try of winning”, but just a very Joost thing to do.

I saw someone posting on social media suggesting that Käärijä could appear on screen doing the part “welkom in Europa jongen!” instead of Gerrie from New Kids, seeing as most of Europe would not get that reference any way. I think that would make the perfect cameo for Käärijä.

Joost is my favourite too, but I don’t think it’s a weak edition. On the contrary, there are more acts that I could live with winning than ever.

Literally every year people are saying “this is a weak year”. Since 1967.

All three entries are good, although Belgium has been growing off of me a bit.

1. Netherlands (5th in my top)
2. Luxembourg (13th in my top)
3. Belgium (21st in my top)
