Does this mean that Greece is also a contender for the win or not? Or is it just Greeks voting for their entry?

I quite like Nemo’s outfit & I don’t understand why people are so critical of it. As a matter, I would love to have my own version.

I think Nemo is so cool. For daring to do this kind of performance. And his voice while doing this act, incredible. I’m torn about the clothes though.. He looks like someone from the Muppet show. But it could work. This is different from the others that are doing classical eurovision tricks. Most of them anyway..

I think Switzerland is going to surprise us nicely with the staging, although I’m still not convinced about the outfit. Maybe I’m too old-fashioned, I don’t dig it. It’s very memorable though, so could also do the job. The song is unquestionable, absolute winner for me.

That comment was meant to be personal so I’ll bite..since you’re so condescending. I think they are all polishing up nicely, and both Czechia and Albania seem to have made the biggest improvements since the first rehearsal. Malta continue to deliver a big show. I love the Greek song, but the staging isn’t the most memorable, and Armenia is lovely. But Switzerland continues to be the one that excites me the most, the staging is crazy and unexpected, they sound amazing and I love the song. So still my number one in this semi.

The greek one is okay but nothing “wow”. Switzerland looked epic and something i have never seen in Eurovision before. Somewhat scary though as that platform looks slippery :O Seems Nemo is also good at moving and balancing in addition to his amazing vocals. I really want Latvia to qualify, that song is on the better side this year. Much better song than Greece or Netherlands for example, even though the staging is bit empty :/

Swiss man isnt epic Haven’t you seen a man in pink which is spinning at Eurovision? Because maybe it was a higher level The swiss song is generic pop trash song in english and have norhing to do with representing a country And wokals are not amazing just normal Generic pop song, pink, there’s too much of everything, it may give you a headache, but it’s not music. In the past countrys sang in their own langusges at Eurovision and there was a good level, but now Eurovision is more and more like a circus, dancing but not music contest

Objectively speaking, Malta and Armenia had the best clips for second rehearsals. Armenia is simply, yet fun and effective, no nudity or attention seeking tricks. Malta is giving Chanel vibes but it’s really really strong and good. Great opener. Austria got me worried, not strong choreo…. i think they might NQ and Malta could Q instead. Switzerland’s performance is ruined by this atrocious outfit. What a shame! Denmark and Latvia are boring, sorry. I like the songs though but they don’t stand out. Albania has a bad running order too and the whole thing is off. Czechia is energetic but… Read more »

Malta – well done, if a little too familiar and the blindfold is a bit gimmicky – not a bad track as an opener though Albania – worried about this, I’m not sure who the audience is and who will be really grabbed to vote for this Greece – I’m not a fan of the song but there’s no denying that this is good staging. Marina has Joost level charisma and it pours through the screen Switzerland – Nemo is a classy performer and they come through really strongly on the screen, performing whilst spinning looks very hard Czechia –… Read more »

Having seen only the ESC released compilation clip – my thoughts.

Most improved from their home country’s finals – Denmark

Trying so hard to distract from the song with too much dance and/or gimmicks: Austria, Greece and especially Malta.

Pleasantly surprised: Latvia & Switzerland

lol, at Greece at the top. That one didnt come across strong at all. I did like the colours though and her dress, but what i dont like are the camerawork (it should be dynamic) and her facial expression (very cold, doesnt seem to connect with viewers). Definitely not a winning song. The best for me was Switzerland. Very impressive but that outfit needs to go. Also liked Armenia. This could steal points from Greece. Austria also seemed confident

I have more random “thoughts” about the rehearsals I want to write down. (again, ms. constructive criticism left the room) Malta: wow.dance moves get wilder and wilder every year, it’s becoming a bit ridiculous already. Maybe it’s time to bring back Eurovision Dance Competition? Albania: is she wearing new costume? I kinda like it Greece: its ok, though I wish they cut the moment she reaches for the handkerchief Switzerland: you know the finances are though when not even Switzerland can’t afford Russian man on skates, but they made it work. It also showcases a reason figure skaters wear skintight… Read more »

You must be new here. They pick one or two acts each year and go all in on them to the point of actively campaigning for them and ignoring many other very good acts. Sometimes to the point of making you completely hate an act by the time the finals actually air.

Interesting day, I still don’t know what to make of it. Greece looks good but they need to fix the balance between the lead and the backing vocals. Switzerland is confusing me – I want to like it but there’s just too much going on and it doesn’t help the song. Both are still qualifying with ease. Austria and Denmark look polished and I think both have good chances to make it to the final. Armenia is solid although I don’t personally enjoy the song. Once again my thoughts haven’t changed drastically compared to the first rehearsals. I don’t like Albania’s and Czechia’s staging at all, Austria is I think also not as strong as the pictures signified.
Denmark is impressive, Armenia is fun and Latvia is quality and should go through but I am afraid it won’t given the unimpressive staging.
Also I don’t like Switzerland’s staging and I think we are heading towards a Croatia vs Ukraine vs Italy race (providing Angelina’s staging is good today).

Thanos

Also I am not impressed by Greece. I was really looking forward to how the single-shot filming will look like but in the clip we saw it seemed too static. Hoping the rest of the act is better filmed: perhaps some filming innovations haven’t been revealed yet.
Malta does nothing to me, but is better staged than Luxembourg and Cyprus in its category. Maybe Georgia will overshadow her though, coming on later. Also the song is an extended dance break by now.

This is nothing to do with the artists, they all did well, but did anyone else think there was something off with the sound mixing in the rehearsal clips today? Like the artists all sounded good, but the pre-recorded vocals had been turned up high and it was tough to actually hear them? I don’t think it’s a question of delegation choice, because it was the same for literally all of them (except Armenia, who, by the way, slayed with that clip), and I’m sure it’ll be ok for next week because these are rehearsals after all, but it caught… Read more »

Unfortunately Malta’s history with how it does with televoters is playing a huge part of it. There is no other country that has suffered more because of the televote than Malta and I’m sure it is playing a huge part in their odds this year. The pattern has been so consistent that it’s so easy to predict (similar to how easy it is to predict that Ukraine and Italy will do well in the televote every year no matter what they send).
