The latest UK midweek singles chart has been published, and with it eight Eurovision 2015 songs have made their chart debut.

After some impressive iTunes chart positions, Måns Zelmerlöw‘s reign as Eurovision champ continues with “Heroes” debuting at No. 5 in the midweek chart. This means that in the UK, “Heroes” is on track to be one of the best charting songs of recent Eurovision winners. While it’s unlikely that “Heroes” will beat the No. 3 position of “Euphoria” in 2012, it’s still charting higher than previous winners “Running Scared” (61), “Only Teardrops” (15) and “Rise Like a Phoenix” (17)

“Heroes” is also No. 28 in Spotify’s global chart, the only Eurovision song to make it to the top 50. Proof that the impact of “Heroes” has lasted beyond Saturday night.

Also making an impact on the UK midweek singles chart is “Rhythm Inside” (31), “A Million Voices” (44) and “Love Injected” (62).

The UK’s own entry, “Still In Love With You” has charted at No. 67. This is the first time Electro Velvet have appeared in the full UK singles chart, but one month ago they beat David Bowie to No. 1 in the physical singles chart.

Other ESC songs to appear in the UK midweek top 100 are “Tonight Again” (77), “Golden Boy” (81) and “Goodbye to Yesterday” which just sneaks in at 100.

Missing from the chart is “Grande Amore”. Il Volo’s song might have finished in third, but it hasn’t made an impact on the UK charts. Despite being awarded 8 points by the UK and the song appearing at No. 79 on the chart’s early sales flash, the amore hasn’t lasted.

The full weekly singles chart will be announced on Sunday afternoon. It’s likely that Måns will have a top 10 hit on his hands, and Loïc may find his rhythm is still inside the top 40.

@schnoz I’m not tired of listening to Grande Amore though.
Heroes is only charting so well because it won, if it didn’t win I highly doubt it would have charted well and everyone knows that. Every winning song gets more exposure and is most likely going to chart.

This is why they choose this song, people! Heroes is the kind of song that would easily getting a great position in the charts, it’s a modern song, to simplify is a total blast! Meanwhile, where’s Grande Amore? Not even top 100! Don’t get me wrong, i also enjoyed their performance but at the end, Heroes will remain as memorable, and the easy copy from Il Divo is old fashioned and not the song that everyone would appreciate it, so you could stop about that stupid conversation of “juries sucks” because without them, you know what would happen? Finland would’ve… Read more »

No one I know in the UK even liked Italy this year. Yay for Love Injected and Rhythm Inside! And I thought Goodbye to Yesterday would be a huge favourite.

if it’s #1, he’ll be the first since Germany 1982.

Maybe the jury didn’t make such a bad choice after all? And i’m not surprised that Il Volo is not popular on charts; boring song. If you get tired of heroes after 10 listenings, then you’re sick of Il Volo after the second time.

VENDEIS ESTO COMO SI FUERA LA GRAN RECOMPESA DE UN EXITO Y NO SIEMPRE ES ASI POR NO DECIR QUE GANAR EN EUROVISION NO TE ASEGURA EL EXITO MUNDIAL .EL EXITO MUNDIAL DE UNA CANCION GANADORA EN EUROVISION SON CASOS QUE NO TIENEN CONTINUIDAD A NO SER QUE SEAS ,LORREN O DANA INTERNACIONAL.

If only they were being played on Radio 1 or Radio 2, they might stay around a but longer. They won’t because of the BBC’s ‘pop up’ approach to the contest. It’s gone and forgotten for 2015.

Shocked that Heroes is doing better than Rise Like a Phoenix tbh. Very shocked.
