Bulgaria’s state broadcaster BNT has announced that it will not field at contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Perhaps officials are still paying off the bill from 2010, when Miro rubbed buckets of oil all over his back-up dancers.
It’s taken some time, but we finally have the lyrics and English translation to “Samo Shampioni”—the mind-bending electro-ethno from Elitsa and Stoyan. Enjoy!
When Bulgaria announced that Elitsa & Stoyan would sing “Kismet” at ESC, our Bulgarian correspondent Xander said “Hell to the no!” and suggested that BNT would eventually replace it. Looks like he was right.
It’s only been a few hours since Bulgarian voters selected “Kismet” for Elitsa & Stoyan to sing at Eurovision 2013. But plenty of Eurovision fans are already up in arms over the choice.
