Miro Bulgaria Eurovision 2010Bulgarian broadcasters have selected Miro (Miroslav Kostandinov) to represent Bulgaria in Oslo. Rather than staging a naitonal contest where the winner was choosen by a national televote, officials selected this year’s rep internally with a panel of 51 experts. Last year the Bulgarian public chose to send Krassimi Avramov (the screeching man on stilts) to Moscow. It was a disaster, and he finished 16th in the first semi-final.

Officials will now stage a nationally televised concert in which Miro will perform five songs in five different genres. Then a jury or a public televote will decide what he sings in Oslo.

Miro, 33, came to fame in Bulgaria as one half of the duo Karizma. In 2007 he failed to win the national selection contest for Eurovision, finishing second with his song Fool. You can check him out below.
