Swedish broadcaster SVT has awarded teen heart throb Darin Zanyar the first wildcard in the 2010 Melodifestivalen, the hugely popular (and insanely long) selection contest to represent Sweden at Eurovision.

 

In 2004, Darin placed second in Swedish Idol. His first single Money For Nothing shot straight to number one and eventually went platinum. He’s currently number one in Sweden with his cover of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida.
