francesca-mikaela-double-trouble-malta-2009-junior-eurovision-song-contest-kyiv-2009-500x331With exactly one week to go until the Junior Eurovision final in Kyiv, Wiwi’s readers have tipped Malta’s Francesca and Mikaela to win the contest. So far the Double Trouble duo lead Wiwi’s poll with 49% of all votes. That puts them ahead of early front runner Ioana Bianca Anuta (Ai Puterea In Mana Ta) of Romania, who claims 23%.

Belgium’s Laura Omloop (Zo Verliefd) has come from nowhere to claim third place with 9%. Apparently Europe responds well to techno-yodeling! She’s tied with Sweden’s Mimmi Sandén.

You can view the complete results below, and you can view all of the performances by clicking here. It’s up to you to decide, Europe! Voting ends on November 17 at midnight.

Malta is good, but Belgium will likely win. She is talented singer + her song sounds eastern Europe to me. People will respond to folksong
