Slovakia’s First Rehearsal

In April, Kristina told eurovision.tv that she was spending five days a week at the gym preparing some difficult choreography. Judging from footage of this morning’s rehearsal, however, she was probably at the gym fetching water for her back-up dancers. They do ALL of the dancing while Kristina stands stationary and flirts with the camera. Kristina hasn’t changed the performance very much from the Slovak national final. She’s still dressed as a sexy wood nymph in leather boots, and she’s still surrounded by River Dance warriors who lift her in between their ethnic aerobics. I love this performance as it is—it’s simple, pure and entertaining—but I have a strong feeling that Kristina has a secret up her sleeve for the actual competition. We’ll see! Finland performs after Slovakia in the first semi-final. For the Finns’ sake, I hope Kristina’s mist dissipates during the commercial break…
