Philip and Ani bring you some of the Ukraine’s worst cover artists.

The only thing Wiwi and Vebooboo love more than a bad Eurovision cover is a really bad Eurovision cover. That’s how we got through last year’s Azeri national selection, and that’s why we’re constantly googling Russian diva Philip Kirkorov. Have you heard him sing Dana International’s ‘Diva’? O. M. G.!

Anyway, we were more than a bit thrilled when we found clips from the first episode of the Ukrainian series “Show #1,” which features contestants singing covers of Eurovision classics. The winner of the series, hosted by Kirkorov and the generously bosomed Ani Lorak, will compete in the country’s nationally televised final in February 2012. Here are some of the train wrecks contestants from the first episode. Enjoy!

Arash and AySel’s ‘Always’ from Eurovision 2009 (Azerbaijan):

Helena Paparizou’s ‘My Number One’ from Eurovision 2005 (Greece):

Ruslana’s ‘Wild Dances’ from Eurovision 2004 (Ukraine):

From the producers of “Ken Lee”: The ukranian version of “My Number One”.

And by the way, people, despite the words being similar, the Aztec calendar has nothing to do with Azerbaijan.

Although… I’ve got to admit that Ruslana’s face watching the Lost Boys rip her song was totally priceless.
