When it comes to Eurovision, France knows about a drought: they haven’t won since 1977. So it’s only natural that several of its former contestants have teamed up with other French pop stars to fight the drought in Africa.

Former Eurovision artists Natasha St.Pier (fourth in 2001), Gerard Lenorman (tenth in 1998), Patrick Fiori (fourth in 1993), Amaury Vassili (15th in 2011) and Les Fatals Picards (22nd in 2007) joined more than 50 other artists to form «Collectifs Paris-Africa pour l’UNICEF.» The group has recorded a charity single called “Des Ricohets.” Proceeds from the song will support UNICEF France’s efforts to help victims of the drought in the Horn of Africa.
