Last Saturday Bulgaria chose the 12 finalists for its national final, which is to be held on February 29th. A combination of jury and SMS votes determined the outcome of the semi-finals. Desislava—singing “Love is Alive—has emerged as the favorite. The song won both the jury and SMS vote, while Roma diva’s “Love Unlimited” placed second among viewers.

The full list of qualifiers is as follows:

– Desislava (DESS) – Love Is Alive – winner of the Academy Vote and the Viewer Vote
– Roma diva, Sofi Marinova – Love Unlimited – second in the Viewer Vote
– Group “New 5” – Chance For Better Life
– Ivaylo Kolev feat. Hypnotic – Searching For the Words
– Steliyana Hristov – the Road
– Simona Sivannio- Eternal
– Group “Go Week” – The Way You See the World
– Tsvetelin Atanasov AKA The Elvis feat. DZ – Love Goes Around
– Todor Gadzhalov – Still Love You
– Svetozar Hristov – Keep Me Down
– Rene Ranev – Alone
– Vyara Panteleeve – Faith

Hopefully Bulgaria will bring more to the stage than they did last year, when “Na Inat” finished 12th in the first semi-final. Having listened to Desislava we are a bit skeptical of their chances to say the least. Do you think Bulgaria has a chance? Who deserves the coach-class ticket to Baku? Listen to a preview of all the songs below, as well as the whole track of the top 4!
