Ireland’s state broadcaster has released the five songs competing at Eurosong 2012, and it’s going to be a HOT contest. Jedward are back with “Waterline,” an upbeat song that sounds very Blink 182 and represents a maturation of their sound. They’re up against Maria McCool who serves up a fierce Celtic song that reminds us of Enya; Donna MacCaul who delivers an amazing track that’s a little Lady Gaga, and a whole lot of FAB; Andrew Mann who has an uplifting ballad that makes us feel so good about ourselves; and Una Gibey and David Shannon, who are channeling Katrina and the Waves with “Language of Love.” This is going to be the best Irish final in decades!
