Wiwi isn’t sure about a lot of things, but he suspects this much is true: The final of Melodifestivalen 2012 is going to be a showdown between Loreen, singing “Euphoria,” and Danny, singing “Amazing.” All of the acts competing in next week’s andra chansen (second chance) round are crap. And the only other contestant who has a realistic shot of cracking the Top 2 is Molly Sanden with her emotional ballad “Why Am I Crying?”
Anyway, now that the semi-finals are over and all songs have been heard, SVT is letting folks upload videos to YouTube. After reviewing both Loreen and Danny’s performances, Wiwi has decided to supprt talent over image—i.e., Loreen over Danny.
Here’s why. First of all, she doesn’t rely on gimmick. Her staging is simple, crisp and effective. Danny, on the other hand, has gathered every glowing body suit in the country for his act. What’s more, Loreen’s song stands on its own: She doesn’t need a lot of dance moves to make it interesting. Her voice carries the act. Danny, however, lost it vocally during his semi-final. If him and his back-up dancers weren’t doing all that complicated choreography, more of y’all might have noticed the mega-squeak he let rip towards the end of the song. Sad.

Hey! I am 16, female, and I voted for Loreen, just as many of my friends. So expecting every single girl teenage has no brain is ignorant and dumb.
Loreen has been my favorite ever since I first heard the song, it’s original and touching. goosebumps. The lyrics are amazing aswell, makes me think of my boyfriend and how I feel for him. Euphoria. (for those unknowing what the word means, it means complete happiness, like, being completely inlove, seing your child for the first time, having someone that makes you feel like you’re in the best place you could ever imagine, like you can do anything, nothing is impossible.) “simple, crisp and effective” OMG! It’s just a question of taste, I think she should get a professional choreographer. This looks more like a lesson in karate with jerks all through her number. A bit booring after a time. Her song last year is unbetaable MHIRM was 1000 times better indeed. btw. don’t think you’ve ever heard Danny singing live. His voice is one of the best in Sweden among pop-singers. Just because he failed at one of the performances last Saturday doesn’t mean he is bad. I think Loreen’s My Heart is Refusing Me which she sang last year is top of the top but Euphoria is NOT that good and her choreography is bad, really bad just weird and ugly. For god sake don’t be so unfair to Danny, please don’t! He is normally an extremely good singer. Haven’t you heard all his hits, his latest album with “In love with lover” for example? I LOVE Loreen! I soo agree with you! Loreen’s performance is original,simple,exceptional and bare strong! The mystical concept of the song makes it even more outstanding!! Danny is amazing too,but it’s commonplace and he’s focusing more to the choreography than the song! Loreen carries both song and choreography! I promise that she will win in Europe if Sweden send her to Baku! These kind of music is so popular nowdays! I think Loreen would be a much better choice for ESC. The backing vocals required for Danny would be next to impossible to achieve live on stage. I think Loreen would be potential ESC winner.
