Earlier this evening TVM, Malta’s state broadcaster, released the official video of “This is the Night”—Kurt Calleja’s 2012 Eurovision entry. The video gives the impression it was filmed at a late-night street rave that set off a few fires. But in reality the video was shot in the Chicago Suite at the Radission Blu Resort and Spa in Malta’s Golden Sands, and in the parking lot of St.Lukes Hospital in Pieta’. It features more than 60 dancers, including Kurt himself who proves he can shake that ass, and show us what he’s got. He looks rather nice in a red bow tie, don’t you think? And in honor of the Med he’s not working a wind machine but a water machine. Love. It.

How on earth has this got the worst odds out of every song selected so far? I think you’ve got a chance to get to the final – especially with some of the dross on offer this year.
