Portugal, Filipa Sousa, 2 ELIMINATED

WiwiBloggs.Com recently had the chance to catch up with Portugal’s Filipa Sousa at Eurovision in Concert 2012. Filipa’s voice is seriously powerful, so Wiwi thought she would be really tall. But as it turns out she’s adorably small—and very, very sweet. In our video interview, which you can watch below, she explains that her song “Vida Minha” has a taste of fado—a style of music that can be traced back to 1820s Portugal. Songs in the genre typically deal with destiny and fate. “It’s a love song,” she says. “Someone wants to stay with his love.” Yes: she is thinking of her own boyfriend. “That helps to sing the song.” WiwiBloggs.Com wishes Filipa the best in Baku! God gave you those lungs. Now work them!
