Every year the Eurovision press corps looks into its crystal ball and divines who will who will win each of the semi-finals. Hundreds of pompous journalists and ESC insiders in Baku have cast their votes, and we can now reveal they believe Sweden’s Loreen will win the second semi-final, with Turkey’s Can Bonomo and Serbia’s Zeljko Joksimovic finishing a close second and third. After these top 3, the gap widens with Norway, Ukraine, Malta, Georgia, Estonia and the Netherlands rounding out the top 9. Perhaps in an attempt to create drama in the press room, there is currently only one vote separating the next 9 songs, so there’s no point in predicting the tenth qualifier.
We’re hoping that last spot goes to Kaliopi of FYR Macedonia. What do you think? Have the press eaten way too much free baklava and lost their minds? Or do these nine resonate with you?
