It’s taken several weeks, but officials have finally revealed the  jury-televote split from Eurovision 2012. As expected Sweden’s Loreen won both the jury vote and the televote. Her margin of victory with the jury was immense: her 296 jury points gave her a 123-point lead over second-place finisher Zeljko Joksimovic from Serbia (173). Albania’s Rona Nishliu came third with 157 points.  In terms of the televote, Russia’s Buranovskiye Babushki gave Loreen a run for her money (not bad given they had to run with walking sticks). Loreen’s 343 televoting points only gave her an 11-point advantage over the babushki, who clocked 332 points during the grand final. Third-place finisher Zeljko Joksimovic trailed the grannies by 121 points. The complete results and selected highlights follow.

I don’t discuss about televoters. But there is something wrong when the jury places on the second place a song who copy a refrain from a worldwide hit and on 11th place a joke.

@David Thielen: you made me laugh!!!
I am no fan of Rona’s either, but I am impressed by the fact that she was ranked 8th by the televoters. I was expecting juries to favor her, but not the public.

@Wiwi – Rona definitely was a love her or run away screaming act. I don’t think anyone fell into the middle about her. Me, I was moved by her song too – I moved out of the room along with my dogs who ran out when she started screaming.

I’m very surprised that my Ivi has ended up doing better with the juries! Although the all-round performance overall, especially her choreography, was well-polished, even if Ivi doesn’t have the strongest vocals on this year’s contest.

I don’t get why Italy & France did that poor with the public. And why the juries ranked that high Russia & Cyprus and ranked that low Iceland & Denmark.

I like the jury vote much better than the tele-vote (except their high vote for Albania). Interesting how they differed so greatly on the ones where the talent was poor.

Was extremely suprised to see Anggun’s result… Wonder what her reaction to this…
