Our Shady Lady Ani Lorak has gone Golden. The Ukrainian may have finished second behind Russia’s Dima Bilan in 2008 with her floor stomper ‘Shady Lady’, but Ukraine’s large neighbour has more than made it up to her since then. Russia continues to shower the Ukrainian beauty with accolades and attention, and Ani has now won the coveted Golden Gramophone Award for her single “Hold me Closer”. Ani, they got the message, and they won’t let go!

The award show took place in Moscow’s Kremlin Palace (talk about fancy shit!), and we are relieved to report that she kept her award, and her face, away from slap-happy Philip Kirkorov who was also in attendance.

Take a look at Ani’s video below and let us know what you think.
