The song recounts the emotional aftermath of a breakup. Loneliness, sadness, regret — Rosa and Duncan plunge those depths wondering if the other still thinks of them. Things obviously didn’t work out. But there’s a shared sense that they’d live through the horrors again if it means they can be together: “If I could go back, chasing what we had, straight through the pitch black, I would do it again.”
That, sadly, is sung in the past tense, suggesting the opportunity has passed.
The lyric video dropped on Friday and shows Rosa Linn alone on the beach. The endless ocean connotes her isolation, while its waves lend a meditative quality as she has a major self-reckoning. Duncan does not appear. He is no longer in her life, so memories of his voice and melodies are all she can cling to.
If you attended the most recent Wiwi Jam in Turin, Italy, you’ll likely recognise Rosa’s shirt. She wore the same blue and aqua top at our live concert during Eurovision. The print resembles an aquascape you might find at the bottom of the ocean or a freshwater lake. it’s fitting. Just like water, our girl continues to give us life.

I just read an article that says: “Columbia Records was one that came calling. They’d been made to feel confident by the success of “Snap””… ?!? Yes you signed her because she had a viral song that’s it. This one is flopping but has good playlist support thanks to her label.

And in fact I think The Netherlands will win Junior Eurovision this year in Armenia, we don’t know all the others songs, but it’s my feeling and my wish, The Netherlands deserves a jesc victory, one of the countries if not the country most passionated about the Jesc.

Hahhaha it is called REALITY. Snap was just a tik tok nice music for ppl videos, and that’s ALL.
Their voices go really beautifully together. Rosa really shines on her solos though.
I think their voices are lovely together, but they aren’t enough to save the dull production. The lyrics are very dark. I hope that was intentional and not meant to be romanticized, but given the title, maybe not.
This to me this sounds really fishy and just capitalizing on their respective social media success in a desperate move to keep relevant… Very sad story, really… (sadder for Duncan, that is old enough to know better…)
So far it’s only entered the Netherlands iTunes chart and no Apple Music. It will get Spotify streams because her record label got it added to worldwide New Music playlists but whether it sustains that remains to be seen.
