Margaret Berger has won Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix in a landslide, earning 102,032 votes. That put her well-ahead of second-place finisher Adelen, who racked up 59,414.
Annsofi, who wore really ugly purple shoes, and Sirkus Eliassen, brothers who like showing off their abs, also advanced to the Super Final. Neither came close to challenging Maggie as they only earned 31,000 and 41,000 votes respectively.
Are you happy with the result? Did you love Margaret’s mermaid dress? Let us know below!
Dress OK and she looks great (like 90% of Nordic people…). Not impressed with the song…a qualifier but not a winner in the Eurovision final…but what do I know??? I wasn’t impressed with Euphoria either and it won…
Margaret has been my favourite from the very beginning. I’m glad Norway chose her!
BTW, I do like her cocoon dress. It works particularly well with her curves and proportions. The white against darkness also reinforces the mood nicely.
I’d be nervous about them making changes for the big event; I don’t see how they might improve on her look any further.
Speaking of the title, one important difference from “Euphoria.” Saying the title of “Euphoria” is almost the same as singing it (which is why it’s quite common), and since it starts the chorus it is very easy to continue — with the basic tune at least, if you don’t know the words. The title phrase “I feed you my love” has more particular stresses and is at the end of the chorus, where you not only pause, but then have to pick up at the verse. It is also a very level… Read more »
Because that as a song title is not creepy AT ALL.
Top decision – and depending on the other selections will probably start favorite.
I Think Norge made a great and very smart choice
Ghastly noise
No question.
I also think it’s the best outcome for Adelen; reaching the final, getting a high* 2nd place result. Actually winning would have exposed her to a lot of pressure and negativity over the coming months, whereas now she can relax, celebrate her victories, and absorb lessons from the experience.

Sadly, I missed the show, so I can’t comment about any of the performances.
Of course. She has a very Robyn-esque sound and you can see on the scene she’s a true pro. Also: CLASSY.
I’m loving her with all my heart, fave!
