Latvian voters are determined to stay out of the Eurovision final for a fifth year running. That’s the only way to explain why they chose PeR’s “Here We Go”. We don’t know where they are going, but it’s certainly not the grand final!

Everything about this act is wrong. The 1980s styling. The exposed stomach of the lead singer. The mediocre rapping. Deluded lyrics like, “I know I can be an unstoppable force.” You cannot….at least not with this.

WHAT WAS LATVIA THINKING??

Seriously, it has some merit to chose a semi-only-worthy song for five consecutive years, specially while having so many good songs on their NF. Kudos to Latvia, that’s really a big feat.

Appalling, mind-boggling choice! I was hoping “I Need a Hero” would win. Samanta Tina would have made it to the Grand Final with her beautiful ballad. On the other hand, PeR will have a very short stay in Malmö…

Right act, wrong song. “Sad Trumpet” was much better than this rather lame hip-hop pastiche. They should have actually won last year though – “Disco Superfly” was far, far better than “Beautiful Song”.
