If we are to believe the bookies, then we should all start booking hotels in Copenhagen soon. Emmelie de Forest is still cruising far ahead of the competition with odds as low as 13:12 and only as high as 7:4. (Perhaps they didn’t watch our video from the London Eurovision Party, which exposes some cracks in Miss De Forest’s voice).
There is quite some distance to second place, where Norway and Ukraine are locked in a breast-to-breast battle. (God, if we filmed that showdown and uploaded it to YouTube and charged admission, we could make some mad bling). Most sites have the two tied, but several sites have the Disney anthem singer from Kiev ranked at second. Odds range between 7:1 and 9:1.Maybe releasing the “Gravity” ringtone was a good idea after all…
Russia, our current favourite for Eurovision’s Next Top Model, is third with odds between 12:1 and 18:1. Weight loss guru Robin Stjernberg from Sweden and rocker-turned-ballad-singer Anouk from the Netherlands are close behind in fourth and fifth with odds between 12:1 and 21:1.
What do you think? Are the bookies smoking crack, or are they onto something?
