If we are to believe the bookies, then we should all start booking hotels in Copenhagen soon. Emmelie de Forest is still cruising far ahead of the competition with odds as low as 13:12 and only as high as 7:4. (Perhaps they didn’t watch our video from the London Eurovision Party, which exposes some cracks in Miss De Forest’s voice).

There is quite some distance to second place, where Norway and Ukraine are locked in a breast-to-breast battle. (God, if we filmed that showdown and uploaded it to YouTube and charged admission, we could make some mad bling). Most sites have the two tied, but several sites have the Disney anthem singer from Kiev ranked at second. Odds range between 7:1 and 9:1.Maybe releasing the “Gravity” ringtone was a good idea after all…

Russia, our current favourite for Eurovision’s Next Top Model, is third with odds between 12:1 and 18:1. Weight loss guru Robin Stjernberg from Sweden and rocker-turned-ballad-singer Anouk from the Netherlands are close behind in fourth and fifth with odds between 12:1 and 21:1.

What do you think? Are the bookies smoking crack, or are they onto something?

Denmark is the best song, but I still suspect a Eastern-European song to run with the win. Perhaps Serbia or Ukraine. They seem to get a lot of help from the Eastern conspiracy.

IRELAND should be higher! Great song! Great voice! Hopefully Ireland will win! Currently sitting at 3rd place for the semi-finals according to Eurovision press! Ireland will definitely get 12 or 10 points in the semi-final and final from the UK, Sweden has always been generous to Ireland so maybe 10 as “Only Love Survives” charted in the top 30 in Sweden (26th last time I heard)! Ireland will get 8 or 10 most likely from Austria and Denmark and will also get points from Estonia, Iceland, Russia, Belgium, the Netherlands and others! It also charted in Finland, Ireland (top 10)… Read more »

I hope that Ukraine will win.. I like the song and the singer is beautiful, and got the best voice of all contestants..
I’m from Serbia and I don’t like our song very much, I expect it to be somewhere in the middle in the final, something like in 2011 and 2010. (that’s our reality for this year)..
BTW Denmark’s song is already seen Eurovision cliche, and I HATE the singer’s voice..
UKRAINE all the way! Greetings from Serbia.

France, Romania, UK, Ukraine and Norway has more impressive performances than Denmark. Only Teardrops is the most overrated song in 58 years of ESC.

Georgia above Serbia? Are you deaf?

OMG Ukraine is usually unrated most years by the bookies: i.e Mika Newton in 2011 was nowhere in sight and finished 4th.

Will Ukraine win Eurovision 2013 as suprisingly as they won JESC 2013.

Unless they have epic Sand Woman from 2011 … I HOPE NOT!!!!

Please let Norway, Georgia, Sweden, Belarus, Denmark or San Marino win. Songs that actually deserve to!!!!!!

There’s nothing idiotic about Armenia mid-table… did you see how many televoting points Armenia got in 2011? Armenia has extremely strong geopolitical support, and besides, the song is pretty good, despite the production being dated. Crno i belo had some dated production in the studio recording and probably hardly anyone foresaw it being as captivating and successful of a performance as it was last year.

@zena: bosnia & herzegovina is not participating this year, unfortunately. portugal and slovakia also withdrew, mostly for financial reasons 🙁

After the bookies and so-called ‘tipsters’ got things completely wrong at the Grand National this year, there’s a possibility that Emmelie de Forest could end up having a Devon Loch-style collapse this year.
However, if the Danes DID go on to win this year, it’ll just have Wiwi Bloggs and most of us kicking ourselves.

We still have to wait and see what country’s qualify in both semi’s first before you can say anything about these changes!

The fact that Armenia is still mid table is enough to prove that bookies are idiots. Its gonna be a close one this year, between Denmark, Norway, Azerbaijan and Netherlands

Well, they din’t (want to) listen to Emmelie in London…Her song is not bad, her voice is nothing special and her live performance far from impressive…
‘I feed you my love’ sounds very….vulgar, also not a bad song but way too overrated. The bookies are superficial.
