Cezar Ouatu is a man on a mission. One of the world’s fiercest countertenors, he’s keen to prove that Eurovision fans can embrace opera, and that opera can make pop music pop! He caught up with wiwiblogger Deban Aderemi 30 minutes before the second semi-final jury performance on Wednesday night. Cezar talks about shaving his chest and being the favourite to win wiwibloggs’ search for Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model. He also makes it clear that he likes all comments—good or bad. “When they talk they talk and this is good,” he says. “When they don’t talk—this is something strange.”
