The second semi-final of Eurovision 2013 has come to an end, and we can now reveal the 10 qualifiers advancing to the grand finale, and the seven acts who will be checking out of their hotel a bit earlier. Brace yourself, people. Here are the semi-final results.

The ten countries advancing to the final are:

HUNGARY
AZERBAIJAN
GEORGIA
ROMANIA
NORWAY
ICELAND
ARMENIA
FINLAND
MALTA
GREECE

The seven countries going home are:

SAN MARINO
FYR MACEDONIA
SWITZERLAND
ISRAEL
BULGARIA
ALBANIA
LATVIA

Team Wiwi are in mourning that Valentina Monetta did not make the final. How did Armenia’s Dorians beat her? And why isn’t Israel in the final? I was convinced that the jury would pull Moran Mazor through. It’s hard to type through these tears.

Wiwibloggs is sitting on the front-row of the press conference right now and will transcribe all the juice and gossip for you.

The odds are changing dramatically at the moment. Check out a full comparison of all the odds from our friends at Who’ll Win:http://www.whollwin.com/eurovision/odds.php

You can read our song reviews on the Wiwi Jury page. Then read the lyrics to this year’s entries on our contestants page. And then vote for your favourite contestants in our various polls.

I would substitute Hungary with San Marino and Romania with Israel or Switzerland.

Blasphemy for them to send Emil (Switzerland) packing. I really thought they’d never snub the oldest entrant there, EVER!

Some songs who passed were obviously crap. I can name Hungary and Romania for example. Best songs of the night were Azerbaijan for an amazing performance and originality, Malta for his amazing smile and a feel good song. I was disappointed that San Marino did not make it though, better luck next time. Best songs for the final are Germany, Malta, Azerbaijan, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and last but not least Ireland.

I wonder what the juries were thinking. Armenia deserved zero points from the juries. Just like they hopefully did to Serbia. 🙂 Romania too… Why? I don’t know why this is thru. And GREECE? Why on Earth?

I was kinda shocked to see Armenia go trough. I wasn’t schocked about Romania, but I would’ve rather seen him in last place. Israel and San Marino deserved to go trough! I”ll miss them on saturday, when I”ll have to listen to that crap Armenia and Romania send this year..

Also, I have to say that Margaret had a way better performance at Melodi Grand Prix. Her voice felt so weak compared to Emmelie and Anouk. It’ll be interesting to see how the three powerhouse ladies from Norway, Denmark, and The Netherlands stack up against each other. But Finland could be a dark horse.

I WILL NEVER BE OKAY. I’m usually the biggest Hungary fan, but I hate their song this year. It’s impossbile to sit through and the guy can’t sing. And yet, that went through instead of San Marino?! I am just devastated. This was the more boring semi and these results are awful.
I didn’t miss Armenia in 2012, and I certainly don’t need them now. Give me Valentina!

How on earth did Hungary and Armenia make the final? Ughhhhhhhh. I liked these two songs going in, but their performances were lackluster. The guy from ByeAlex sang like he was afraid of the microphone, and Armenia was just dull. Norway, Romania, and Georgia (especially Georgia) were very underwhelming as well. My top 4 performances of the night made it (Iceland, Finland, Azerbaijan, Greece), but where are Israel and San Marino??? (Granted, Valentina was flat on too many of the high notes, but she was still way better than half of the qualifiers.) Reeeeally upset about no Valentina now. 🙁… Read more »

If the results from the first semi were somewhat surprising, then these are shocking. San Marino, Israel and Bulgaria out, while Armenia, Hungary and Greece made it to the final? WTF?
I usually like Armenian and Greek entries, but I do not think they deserved to be in the final this year.

There have been lots of rumours in the press centre this year that Malta and Armenia have been engaged in vote trading. Members of the jury in each nation agreed to help the other out. That’s interesting given that Gianluca performed at Armenia’s national final….

Georgia was amazing. That blew me away. And I was not expecting anything because I hadn’t heard anything about them. Wonderful surprise.

And it’s a crime Moran (Israel) did not advance to the final. She deserved 5th place at worst.

Oh, and I’ve also said that Armenia didn’t deserve the hate being thrown at them, and I’m surprised their Black Sabbath, only-rock-song-left in the competition is so underrated.

The only surprise for me was Hungary qualifying, but then again, it was always on the edge. Even if you didn’t like the song, Valentina gave arguably one of the best performances of the night vocally, but the #2 position and the lack of neighbours didn’t do any favours for them.

I’m glad both Iceland and Finland qualified – Krista especially, as having all the Scandinavian block in one final will spell doom for one of: Denmark, Norway or Sweden. 🙂

I’m not 100% jury’s do the best impartial job you know.

I’m loving the contest this year. I think awsome songs and performances.

Really sad both Serbia an in particular San Sarino are not in the final. Both amazing performances. Cheers for all the fun xx

Sorry but San Marino song, even if in Italian, belongs in the 70s. Israel girl sang nice and I am sad to see her birthday ruined, but song was “Milim” reloaded.
I am happy for Romania, Cezar can and should win Saturday. I know that many people hate him but they can not vote against him and maybe more opera and real music fans love him! Ave Cezar!

This is the worst Eurovision contest i ever watched. For the voting and results i let countryes from second semi final to speak.Beside this results, technical brodcast ,camera operation, lights, stage are below of high standards we used before.I mean pls.watch offical video clip from RTS Moje 3 and professionalism,SVT either wanted to put down standards or should sent its tv crew to RTS for training.Or watch Eurovision in Belgrade 2008,and compare brodcasts.

I’m quite happy with the results – all my favourites are through and the only choice I can’t really understand is Romania, but maybe it’s just the fact that it’s so different. San Marino was always way over-hyped, and I never understood it. Yes, they suffer from not having a lot of neighbours/friends, but you do need to bring a better song. I’m really not suprised. I also thought one of Armenia or Albania would make it through since they have a unique target group and take votes away from each other, and from these two songs it was a… Read more »

Germany voted. There are lots of Armenians in Germany. And West-Europe is full of Romanians too. So they’re always in the final. Bad thing…

Also, has anyone else noticed that all of the former Soviet nations except Latvia advanced to the final, while none of the former Yugoslav nations did? Coincidence? I think not!

Why won’t we vote for San Marino? I wonder why everybody’s talking about ‘who would vote for San Marino’. I would! But The Netherlands was in semi 1. Otherwise I would’ve voted 20 times for her. And 20 times on the other phone for OH OH OH OH OH DING DONG!

It’s the SONG contest. So VOTE for a SONG you like. Not for a COUNTRY you like!

Azerbaijan is VERY VERY VERY GOOD too!

San Marino not advancing to the final – The proof how jury is unprofessional.
