British Eurovision fans and “Ding Dongers” need to tune into Big Brother’s Bit On the Side on Channel 5 at 12:55 on Sunday. That’s because Finland’s Krista Siegfrids will perform her Eurovision single “Marry Me” to an estimated audience of two million viewers. We suspect she’ll be wearing her ratty wedding dress.
She announced the news on her website on July 1, and is clearly excited to visit the U.K.
Yes, party people it’s true! I’m off to U.K. to perform in Big Brother. Do you think anybody wants to marry me there?! LONDON CALLING!!! Wooop! Wooop!!!
Lady is articulate! Krista has documented her visit to London on her Twitter page throughout the week and she has really thrown herself into British life. So far she has ridden the Tube, visited Camden Town and attended a Robbie Williams concert.
Krista has been very busy since finishing 24th at Eurovision 2013 (with 13 points). She spent the last few months promoting her debut album “Ding Dong”—read our review here—which dropped on May 10. Besides touring Scandinavia with her “Ding Dong” crew, she also found time to perform at Helsinki Pride. She went down very well thanks to her support of same sex marriage in Finland.
Krista has spent the last week partying in London, all in preparation for her performance on the Big Brother spin off show today. For those of you that don’t know, Big Brother has been one of the most popular reality shows in the U.K. for over a decade, and is now in its 14th season. Some of the contestants from this year’s show include a professional boxer, an ex-detective, a “sugar-daddy” and a shaman fisher woman. Given all that crazy Krista should fit right in!
