Pastora Soler was a huge hit at ESC 2012 — she won the annual press poll, and she ended up finishing 10th in the Grand Final.
Well even though Pastora didn’t get any points from Croatia, she is going back again. After a quick visit in December last year, where she sang in a series of humanitarian concerts, Pastora will be coming to the beautiful country yet again in August this year. According to guide2croatia.net, the superstar will start out in Opatija on August 9th as part of the Open Air Summer Theatre, followed by visits to other tourist resorts Rovinj, Mali Losinj, Cavtat, Solin and Makarska. With choices like that, one has to wonder if Soler will be sunning in el sol more than she graces a stage!
Pastora won’t be on the stage alone, though. She will be sharing it with Doris Dragovic (Yugoslavia 1986, Croatia 1999) and Ivo Gamulio Gianni. Doris also sang during the December concerts.
Soler is scheduled to release her latest album Conoceme (Know Me) on September 10th in Spain, so we hope she will give fans a sneak preview while in Croatia.
You can watch Doris’ 1986 performance below to get a hint of what she may have up her sleeve, and we’ve also included a couple more recent videos. Judging by these videos it is going to be a battle of the ballads in Opatija.
