Jessy Matador—the Frenchman who dropped Congolese rhythms at ESC 2010—is completely authentic. Or should we say Authentik? He has just released an album by that name, along with a hot new single Dansa Pausa.

Dansa Pausa is a cover of a hit by hit Swedish multi-ethnic band Panetoz. Their version hit #1 in Sweden last May. As with Jessy’s ESC entry “Allez! Ola! Olé!”, this number includes a bit of reggae and a healthy dose of hip-hop and generally keeps it moving and keeps me grooving.

What do you think? Is this a summer hit, or a summer downer?
