In the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the sisters are doin’ it for themselves. Tijana Dapcevic, the country’s contestant for Eurovision 2014, announced today that her little sister Tamara Todevska will be throwing down with her on stage in Copenhagen. She broke the news in Serbia’s Kurir newspaper.

Tamara, 28, may be younger than her 37-year-old sister, but she brings some major ESC experience. She represented Macedonia at Eurovision 2008 with the song “Let me love you”, finishing tenth in her semi-final. Unfortunately the jury decided to save Sweden’s Charlotte Perrelli (who recently spoke of suffering a miscarriage). That sent poor Tamara packing. Could 2014 finally be her year?

But it’s not just blood sisters who will be on stage. Tijana’s soul sister and dear friend Leontina Vukomanovic will provide backing vocals. Leontina wrote the lyrics to “Lane Moje”, the song that brought Serbia & Montenegro and singer Zeljko Joksimovic second place at Eurovision 2004. Is this a hint that Leontina has written Tijana’s song for 2014?
