Most Swedish teenagers would kill for a chance to sleep with Måns Zelmerlöw.  He has dreamy eyes, a cute physique, and a sultry voice. So yeah, he’s basically hot (even if quite tiny). But who knew Måns had such a big heart too??

Måns is giving Mother Theresa a run for her money with the opening of a new charitable foundation, The Måns Zelmerlöw Foundation. “My hope is that the foundation will make a difference for disadvantaged children around the world.” A big aspiration, but that’s what we like to see.

Måns is a smart man, though, because he knows to start small and expand later. “Right now, in the starting phase, we are focusing on the school in South Africa but I hope that over time we can help more schools and more organisations that we consider to be doing a good job.”

Mans Zelmerlow“The school in South Africa” refers to the Cwakeme School in South Africa’s most HIV-infected area, Kwa-Zulu Natal, that Måns decided to sponsor last year. This came after getting involved in South African organisation Star for Life several years ago and being inspired by the work done and the causes at hand. “The first time I came to Cwakeme I didn’t know what problems the school had to deal with. I was met by a burned down school, student toilets without running water, and 70-80 students in each classroom. The principal also told about HIV problems and teenage pregnancies. Despite this I met children with an unbelievable believe in the future and full of hope.”

So it’s clear Måns has a huge heart, but boo also knows his business sense. In order to raise money, Måns is pulling together the Måns Zelmerlöw Invitational in November, a tennis tournament bringing together 30 sponsors and coupling them with 10 of Sweden’s greatest tennis legends (including Jonas Bjorkman and Thomas Johansson). In addition, the invitational will feature a gala dinner and performances by such talents as Sarah Dawn Finer. If you bring celebrities, the money will come. And Mans is well aware of this!

Måns, you are awesome. Keep up the inspiring work!
